The box came with this information card. The theme this month was related to Valentine’s Day, of course.

Loving Pets Bella Bowl – Value $7.34

I can always use more cat dishes. This one is being donated to Sneaky. She eats wet food and she doesn’t lick the bowls clean very well so she has about four cat dishes I rotate out so that the bowl(s) can be properly cleaned between uses.

Valentine’s Day Bandana – Listed Value $4.99

I actually managed to get this on three cats. I don’t think they had a lot of fun wearing it, although I had a lot of fun taking pictures.

Bavarian Cat Toy Pillow with Owls – Value $8.59

This is still in the plastic here because these things (that is, cat toys with valerian in them) smell (to me) like dirty gym socks. But the cats LOVE them. Monkey will get distracted by toys like this for days. The other cats seemed to like it as well.

Pet Gift Box Love Bites (2.5 oz) – Listed Value $9.99

This is the second month in a row we received a Pet GiftBox exclusive treat. And, unfortunately, it is the second month in a row the treat was kind of a fail. These were heart-shaped cookies/biscuits (see the photos of Angus and Sneaky below for a look) that probably would’ve been great for dogs but they are just not the type of treats I’ve been able to get cats to eat  I think they are a bit large, and they’re not nearly stinky enough for cats.

Imperial Cat Refillable Hearts (2) – Value $5.95

Sometimes my cats don’t care for refillable catnip toys because of the size (too large), but these are on the smaller side and Angus thought they were pretty great. (There is not much that Angus doesn’t think is the most awesome thing ever.)

Cat photos ahead:

Angus investigates the treats.

And then he stopped wanting to get near the camera. So I tossed him this pillow toy and used the camera’s zoom function.

Madison’s hiding spot du jour was behind an armchair in the corner of the bedroom. Oh well, easier than trying to take photos under the bed.

Monkey in the bandana.

Monkey with the pillow toy. Monkey LOVES valerian catnip toys.

Sneaky bats the bandana away.

Sneaky bites a treat. (She didn’t eat it, but it was bite-worthy at least.)

I don’t know how I ever managed to get this thing on her. She looks like she wants to kill me.

Mr. Kitty with the heart toys. Yes, his left eye looks big and like there is a white thing in it. Rest assured he is receiving regular checkups at the veterinary ophthalmologist’s office.

And here is the angry old man wearing the bandana.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $37 for the February Pet GiftBox for cats. That is pretty good for a cat subscription box at this price point. I do encourage the folks at Pet Gift Box to rethink the treats they’re sending out as this is the second month in a row none of my cats have actually wanted to eat them (and Sneaky is on steroids for her asthma right now, so she is a ravenous beast at the moment). But the toys were well-received and I can always use another cat dish, so the value was still decent for us, as well.

Mr. Kitty actually looks so cute in that bandana, but I think Monkey rocks it the best

I received that exact same dish from Petgiftbox two years ago. It’s still in use in my house.
