The Little Mermaid Decal - Value $3.99

My daughter is 7 now and grew out of Disney Princess stuff in the last year (so sad!). This is cute but we will pass it on to a little girl that will love it.

Live.love.music. Emoji Headphones - Value $12.99

Just like many other kids, my daughter is loving the emoji stuff right now. The shirt and these headphones made this month’s box for us! The quality of the headphones isn’t great (and neither is the sound) but for the price that is okay.

NERDBLOCKJR-FEBRUARY-2017-10MAGAZINE.jpg

NERDBLOCKJR-FEBRUARY-2017-11MAGAZINE.jpg

National Geographic Kids Magazine - $4.99 (single issue)

This magazine is looking like a regular edition for Nerd Block JrIf so, we’re very happy about that! We’ve been watching Cosmos (it's great!) on Netflix lately so when Cira saw the article on Planet 9 she ripped it out of the magazine right away and hung it on her wall. I’m so happy to have a nerdy kid.

NERDBLOCKJR-FEBRUARY-2017-12socks.jpg

NERDBLOCKJR-FEBRUARY-2017-13socks.jpg

Pokemon Socks - Value $2.99

We never got into the Pokemon craze but Cira has a crush on someone who did so we’ll give these socks to him and we’ll have two happy kids. The size seems a bit big for little kids but these socks usually fit many sizes pretty well so I’m not sure if that will be a problem for others.

Emoji ShirtPunch! T-shirt - Value $15.00?

Another Emoji hit in da house! We now have more Emoji items then I can count but we can never have enough poop emoji items. I can never find these shirts on the ShirtPunch website so the $15.00 is an estimate.

NERDBLOCKJR-FEBRUARY-2017-16pens.jpg

Inkworks Shopkins Gel Pens (5 pack) - Value $4.99

We love gel pens and art supplies are always a hit here…if they work. Only 2 of the pens in this packet worked well enough to keep. Bummer.

Disney Princess Frozen Tin with Necklace - Value $3.99?

Another Disney Princess items – wah-wah. Great for some kids but not for us. We’ll stock it away for a gift. I couldn’t find this online so the price is a guess.

Verdict: My daughter really looks forward to getting Nerd Block Junior for Girls each month but I’m kind of on the fence about it recently. The toy brands are ones my daughter enjoys but at least every few months there is something that doesn’t work well or doesn’t work at all. Plus, we like the t-shirt but wish nerdBLOCK (and ShirtPunch) would separate the sizing by gender so it would fit better. The box with shipping is about $30.00 now which seems high for a t-shirt and a couple toys my daughter likes each month but there is also at least one gift item for current or future use. It’s kind of a toss-up for me but I’m sure most kids would love getting a box of toys each month.

The total value of the items on in this box is typically pretty high. This month we received nearly $49.00 worth of toys for a $30.00 box which is good if you like everything but when there are some misses and something doesn’t work, the value goes down considerably.

We cancelled our subscription. I figured for the cost I would be better off buying a couple of surprise toys (shopkins, num nums etc) that my daughter will be sure to like instead of the gamble of the box (although the surprise part of it was fun for both of us)

I really wish I had not cancelled. My daughter would have loved this box.

I really want to like this box. I will have to wait and see. This is my first time seeing this box so I’ll have to check out future ones later. But I have two kids (5 & 11) and my 5 year old would be the one getting this box (if I ever over it). I’m not empressed with the tshirt at all. I don’t care for the headphones either but they aren’t as bad as that shirt. I hate all these poop related items and it’s getting on my nerves. My kids never ask for it either but a trip to Justice is hard because of this insane craze. My 11 year old is too old for this box (too mature) she gets the Avenue A box so… yeah, my 5 year old rocking this stuff? No way! I just can’t justify letting my kids wear something that says or is the emoji for poo. I’m not loving this emoji craze at all. I’ll be glad when it’s over.

I cancelled last month… my five year old rarely liked anything in the box. My nine year old said they should change the name of the box to “random junk some kids will like” haha she did tend to like most items though.
the quality of items is poor and we had items the girls liked but they broke and left them sad. Pens never work!
I also dont care for the cheap baggy tshirts they use.
And i agree I also would NEVER let my child wear a poop emoji tshirt!
