Lillypost Nylon Drawstring Bag – Bonus Gift!

Lillypost sends out bonus gifts for subscriptions of 3, 6 or 12-month durations. I think this is a nice perk not often seen in children’s book boxes. This month they sent a Lillypost drawstring backpack which is great for our trips to the public library.

The Biggest Kiss by Joanna Walsh – Value $14.99 (out of print)

Everybody kisses in this sweet rhyming book. All kinds of animals delight in kissing each other from penguins to ladybugs and even giraffes. I especially enjoyed the illustrations in this book with thoughtful details throughout. We already own this book from a previous Lillypost box in board book form. Now that my daughter is outgrowing board books, she’s happy to have it in picture book form.

I Love You When… by Annie Baker – Value $9.99

This is a sweet bunny tale about a parent’s unconditional love for their child. Whether silly, sad, snuggly or sick the bunny is always loved. This is a quick, cute read and my kids both enjoyed it, as did I.

Lily and Bear by Lisa Stubbs – Value $14.67 on Amazon (retail price $17.99)

Lily loves to draw pictures. One day she draws Bear and they become fast friends. Bear does all the things Lily likes to do, but eventually, he craves bear-ish activities. So he brings Lily along on some adventures of his own. The vivid illustrations are so well done.

Thank You and Good Night by Patrick McDonnell – Value $13.19 on Amazon (retail price $15.99)

Patrick McDonnell is an icon and with this book, you can see why. Three little friends (elephant, bear, and bunny) have a sleepover party with tons of fun from making silly faces to jumping on the bed and too-big pajama bottoms slipping off. My daughter said, “I love this book Mommy!” and we promptly read it again.

Verdict: The value this month was over $52 and is well over the cost of the box as always! We continue to be so pleased with our Lillypost box each month. The books are always well curated, beautifully wrapped and represent a variety of topics, authors, and illustrators. We loved every single book this month and appreciated the bonus gift as well. I highly recommend this subscription to all book-loving families with young kids!

Jessica’s addiction started off slowly enough with Birchbox, but it has grown and grown over the last three years. An elementary school librarian and mom of two she loves boxes that are child-centric. But she’ll never turn down a good fashion, beauty or tasty treat subscription.
