It looks like there aren’t themes for Gamer Blocks. But, you’ll typically know at least 3 of the franchises featured before your box ships.

You’ll get a mini magazine that contains stories and product information.

I think they’ll need to refine these since “Freddy Krueger’s Most Creative Kills” probably doesn’t belong in the E For Everyone booklet. That being said, it’s a great list and proves how great Dream Warriors was!

You’ll still get a $10 voucher to the Ned Block store. Mine is free to the first use to redeem it!

Rockband Shirt – Value $15?

This month’s exclusive shirt features the game Rockband. While I never really was a fan of the game, I do remember the absolute insane craze it caused when it first came out.

Parappa the Rapper Plush – Value $15 on Amazon

Now this was a game I got behind! I loved Parappa!

This little plush has beads in the bottom so he can sit upright.

I can still remember playing this for hours with friends! I also just learned that there’s a remastered demo available for PS4 – so I know what I’ll be playing later!

Lovers In A Dangerous Spacetime Steam Game – Value $14.99

Gamer Block now sends a Steam game in each box. The first game is Lovers In A Dangerous Spacetime.

I’m happy to report that it is Mac and PC compatible! This game is a blast! It’s like a mix between the movement of Pac-Man and defending of Space Invaders – I’m having a blast with it.

Pixel Heart Pin – Value $5?

They include a classic health meter pin.

It’s one single pin, too.

Pac-Man Bow Tie – Value $5-10?

I couldn’t find this product in stock online, so I’m guessing the value here.

It’s an actual bow tie, not a clip on, and features all the Pac-Man characters.

Verdict: My first Gamer Block is a hit. I loved Parappa and the game – those items alone make this a great first box for myself. It might be a bit broad on what games are included, but I am loving the inclusion of the Steam game in retro packaging. This box makes me interested to see the ‘M For Mature’ box and future Gamer Blocks.

  1. Hello! I cant find the game code for Lovers. The box is empty. Help!

  2. OMG – that Um Jammer Lammy plush is such a throwback! I had completely forgotten about that game, but I loved it at the time!

I hate to be this person – but a bow tie? That doesn’t scream “E for everyone to me”. Screams B for boys, haha I suppose you could pull it apart to make a cute hair bow.

    • I definitely agree that these “nerd/geek” box’s lean far more towards boys/guys then for girls. They always throw in items that are for the most part mean for guys but I’ve never seen a cute hair accessory or beauty item.

      • As a lifelong female gamer – I understand I might be in the minority, but blatant snubs of females in the industry from a box that claims to be for everyone is just disappointing!

        • For girly gaming items there is the Gamer Girl Monthly box.

    • I read an article of a q&a with the head of one of the popular blindboxes and was asked about why more female related products aren’t included in their boxes. He said that nearly 95% of their subscribers are male, and while they mostly include gender neutral items in their boxes, they’ll occasionally include a male focused item because it’s 95% more likely to be used than lipstick or hair clip. I’ll try to find the article.

Personally, I’d rather have bra and panties than any of the items in this box. A cheap plush and bow tie for $30 is weak.
