“One Brave Step at a Time” 8″ x 10″ Foil Art Print

This subscription always includes some non-greeting-card surprises alongside all the stationery. This month, that includes this pretty pink print! I love the way the gold complements the cool, eye-catching pink. The print is the same weight of card as the rest of the stationery. It’d look amazing matted and framed, or just tacked on the wall with some washi tape next to my desk!

Star Stamp Pen

At first, I thought this was just an ordinary highlighter or marker…

Surprise! The tip of this bright pink highlighter is star shaped. You can still create a thick pink highlight, or you can use this marker like a stamp and create pretty, petite designs!

I love having this marker in my collection, especially because the pen itself is so pretty!

Gold Heart Washi Tape

I’m easily wooed by anything metallic, so this washi tape had me at hello. The teensy hearts are adorable and perfect for Valentine’s Day. How cute would this look sealing an envelope?

Hey, Sugar Sticker

Speaking of cute ways to seal an envelope, check out this sticker! The peach-and-red combo is a fresh take on the traditional Valentine’s palette—it’s cool and quirky and a little cheeky. It’s about 2 inches wide, so it’s perfect for envelopes (or sticking on your sweetheart’s shirt).

1 Sheet of 26 Heart Stickers

These stickers are so cute! The messages on the colorful hearts are an updated version of the sentiments you’d find on classic conversation hearts. I love that they have “MCM” (Man Crush Monday) and “WCW” (Woman Crush Wednesday) stickers!

Okay, now on to the stars of the show—the greeting cards!

Happy Galentine’s Day Emoji Postcard

I love this emoji postcard! The soft pink color is super pretty. And what better way to celebrate your best gal pal than with the dancing girls emoji!

On the flip side, there’s a standard postcard setup. It’s clean and crisp and modern, just as all A Beautiful Mess designs tend to be. Love it!

One-Sided Match Card

I wasn’t super familiar with these kinds of cards before the Happy Mail subscription, but I really like this one-sided notecard. They’re not quite a postcard, but they don’t fold shut like typical greeting cards do. I love the match design on the front of this card (plus the pretty pink envelope it comes with!).

I thought maybe there’d be a “perfect match” pun awaiting me on the back, but instead, it was something a little sassier!

Kisses Card

This is the most stereotypical Valentine’s Day card in the bunch, with its pink and rosy red lips and sweet nothings.

Inside, it says “Pucker Up!” Haha, I love it. This hot pink envelope with definitely stand out in your paramour’s mailbox, too.

Coral Roses Card

This is another one-sided notecard, but it’s a bit bigger than the match one. It feels almost like it could be a print, apart from the fact that it comes with an envelope. It’s blank on the back (except for a little A Beautiful Mess logo). The style feels a bit more traditional than the other cards in the package, so it’s not my favorite. But it’d be great for writing a longer note, given its size and simplicity!

Lady Crush Card

Now this card, I like. I don’t always take the time to shout out my female loved ones this time of year (the boyfriend gets all the attention), but I love the idea of sending the wonderful women in my life something fun. It’s blank inside, so whether you’re sending it to your girlfriend or a gal pal, you can tailor the message to fit!

Parenthood Card

This card is adorable! What a sweet way to show a little empathy to some proud (if tired) new parents!

I like that this box has so many Valentines appropriate designs, but I also appreciate that they include cards for other occasions, too! I’m so used to being caught last minute without a card and having to pick from chain-store cards that don’t fit my personality (or the personality of the recipient’s). I don’t know of any new babies coming right now, but when the time comes, I’m happy that I’ll have this charming card in my collection!

Say It Ain’t So! Card

Similarly, this unique take on a sympathy card could be used in a number of occasions. It’s blank inside, so you can make the message fit the situation. I love when I get a heartfelt message when I’m down and out—I don’t know how seeing this card and its bright purple envelope in your mailbox wouldn’t bring a smile to someone who needs one.

Best Wishes to the Mr. and Mrs. Card

This wedding card is playful and charming. It’s got a more classic vibe, in contrast to the cheekier cards in the box.

One of my favorite things about A Beautiful Mess cards is that they tend to put things in friendly language that people actually use. This card is a great example of that. I’m used to wedding cards with flowery, poetic sayings. “You guys are great together” is something I would’ve written in myself! I like that it’s sincere, yet real.

Candy Card

This is the most straightforward Valentine in the bunch. I mean, it’s pink with a bright red envelope, and it’s covered in candy. Classic V-Day.

On the inside, there’s this playful little message. This super sweet type of Valentine isn’t typically my style, but I think it’s cute that they included one!

HBD Birthday Card

The last card might be my favorite. I love the colors—they have kind of a vintage quality about them, don’t they? This is a great example of how A Beautiful Mess uses the language real people use on their cards. I can’t tell you how many Facebook friends I’ve wished a “HBD” to!

I LOVE the message inside. Gift cards might be a cop out present to some, but I love getting ’em AND giving ’em!

Verdict: Boy, do I ever love Happy Mail! From the stationery to the fun extras, these picks are lovingly curated, fresh and unique. I really love when I can find a greeting card that reflects my personality and the personality of the person receiving it—these are the kinds of cards that would have my pals saying “wow, that’s so me!” Plus, it’s totally cost effective. You get 10 artfully designed cards (9 cards with envelopes and one postcard) and a handful of extras for just $20.00 a month plus shipping. I’m used to nabbing cards at the store for around $4.00-$5.00 a pop. Here, each card would be a little less than $2.00 each. How cool is that?

  1. Happy Mail delivery day is one of my favorite days!! Thanks, Liz, for introducing me to this company. I’m old school and write letters and send cards instead of email, so I LOVE Happy Mail!! And that highlighter is totally rad!!
