  1. Received my Target February box today. Total Value is $25.79
    Wellpeople mascara 1 oz $9.56 (full size is 2.3 oz @ $21.99) cruelty-free
L’Oreal 3 packet mask combo- 0.34 oz each x3- total of 1.02 oz. value $6.60 (full size 1.7 oz ranges $9.99-12.99)
Peel off hydrating mask $3.49 (this is full size)
Tanning towel $3.20 (full size 5 pack is $15.99)
Soap & Glory face wash 1 oz $1 (full size is 11 oz $10.99)
Raw Sugar Body wash 2 oz $0.56 (full size 25 oz $6.99)
Gliss shampoo 1.7 oz $0.69 (full size is $5.99- @13.6 oz)
Gliss conditioner 1.7 oz $0.69 (same as shampoo full size)
A few items may be on sale for slightly less.

So essentially the mascara almost covers the cost of the box, and everything else is gravy. Really glad I ordered- we already have 2 of the 3 L’Oréal masks in full size. My 16 yr old daughter and I love them.

Kind of funny- it’s not “mostly foil packets” as was claimed by some- in fact the L’Oréal masks are a nice multi-use deluxe packet worth $6.60. Certainly not your typical Birchbox style foil packet.

The only thing I probably won’t use is the tanning towel. Everything else I’m looking forward to using tonight or tomorrow. And my daughter called dibs on a few things.

    • I’m happy with mine, too. I find sometimes the spoilers a little disappointing, but once I receive the box it’s a good one for me.

  2. Mine was delivered today. That was quick! Nothing really exciting in it for me, but, really, I will use every single thing in it. After subtracting the coupon that’s only $7 for 8 items, less than $1 per item, so I’m pretty happy with mine.

  3. Ordered! I use everything in my Target and Walmart boxes- and I really wanted to try those clay masks! New shampoo and conditioner for a $1 each? Can’t beat that!

If this goes on clearance I’ll order another box. Glad to see new items.

  4. I placed the order then talked to c.s. and cancelled after noticing Macy’s. I got three Macy’s. Two for me and my hubby loves some of the products so I got him one. He’s so cute. When I get a box he always asks about anti-aging creams. He doesn’t have a mustache or beard and uses an electric razor. The mens boxes always have so many shaving products and cologne he passes. It’s a win win. I get the products he doesn’t want.

    • How did you find out information on The Macy’s box? I think that I signed up for it way back when but haven’t heard anything about it lately.

      • From MSA. I looked them up again today, but the price was back up to $25.

        • Nan, its $12.50 again today. I just grabbed one!

          • Thanks I saw that too. I may have to order another one lol.

          • Is there a link somewhere to get on the waiting list or get some information? I can’t seem to get anywhere when I click on the link in the post about the Macy’s box.

Sorry to hijack the thread- will pick up my Target box tomorrow from the post office. Hopefully it is packaged better this time.

          • It actually wasn’t a Macy’s box.. it was just a sample spa set that Macy’s had on sale in their beauty department. I believe it’s sold out now.

  5. I thought i was the only one thinking that this box is prettyy much the same as ever… i was expecting for a february box maybe some nice makeup or a perfume…. i dont know… maybe i will wait for it to go on sale (if it does not go out of stock)… i love target beauty box but $10 i think is too much for samples….

  6. Over priced, but at least it ships fast! Glad I got that $4 compensation because of the expired coupon, so I only paid a little over $6. Still looking forward to a few items though. Interested to try out the mascara, I love peel off masks and will enjoy trying the other stuff.

  7. Pass

  8. Mine just shipped!

    • Mine too.

    • I got an email too! Yay! 🙂

      • Me too!! 😊

    • Mine shipped yesterday as well. I don’t think I’ve ever had it ship the same day. I would say that it’s probably because they didn’t have to ship out that many, but I placed a Target order on Saturday that had shipped (in two parts) by Sunday night. That never seems to happen with me. I wonder if they have done something to help in that area, maybe to compete better with Amazon.

      • I hope so. Last month their shipping was awful. It took 2.5 weeks to get my $10 box and I never did get my $5 box. Previous I received them in 7 – 10 days.

  9. Usually, I send a Target box to my sis. I sent her the Macy’s Spa set instead and then went back and got one for myself. Sorry Target…foil packets…ugh.

  10. That Soap & Glory face wash is THE BOMB. It doesn’t exfoliate well, but I use it with a face loofah if I want more scrub, although it’s fine on its own. I have combination skin, and it’s somewhat sensitive. This product is awesome! But you can get it at Ulta for $10-12 and use a coupon or wait for a B2G1 free sale. This is the ONLY face wash that I have EVER finished a bottle of and stayed happy with the whole time. On the tail end of my SECOND bottle – face is happy! It’s only veryyyyy slightly mildly drying for me, and always residue-free and solidly clean. If you’re wanting to try it…seriously just go buy it – it’s great!
Target does carry it, but only select locations. Ulta’s return policy is better. Walgreens also carries it.

    • I love Soap & Glory products!

  11. Not interested. I know it’s only $10, but it makes me feel empowered to use that money on a good deal elsewhere.

  12. Had the mask been full size or a generous deluxe I would’ve bought this so fast. No full size item & no lip product so it’s a no go for me. I really thought that I was going to order this one too 😟

    • Same here. Easy pass and I really wanted a target beauty box this month. Maybe next month will be a winner.

  13. This is the first time in two years that I will skip a box.

    • Me too. Through all of these mediocre boxes and Laneige, I’ve finally learned my lesson.

  14. Easy pass…

    • Yep, nothing much here.

  15. I feel kind of weird not ordering. I haven’t skipped a Target box since I found out about them 2yrs. ago,but this box doesn’t have even one full size product. The Macy’s spa set is still available and is a much better value in my opinion.

    • I came here to read the comments if people liked the box, not many do including me. Then I saw people talking about the Macy’s spa set, I went and ordered that instead 🙂

  16. I bought it, but I’m a little disappointed at the $10 price point. At $7 I would’ve been OK with it, and at $5 I would’ve been happy. I had a $5 gift card that I got as a bonus from a previous purchase, so it only cost me $5 plus tax, but I know I’ll be kicking myself in a couple of weeks when the price drops on this. I just didn’t want to miss it altogether.

Someone mentioned earlier that their $3 coupon worked even though it expired on 1/29. I wish I had tried it! I had only used one of my two from last month. If I’d tried and been successful, my box would’ve cost $2 (of course I would have had to buy other things, but that’s no big deal for stuff that I need).

  17. This is the first time it’s been an easy pass for me. I can’t believe they are only including packet samples of that mask! LOL I’m not mad or up in arms, just really surprised! 😀 Next month maybe… (woohoo, just saved $10)

  18. I love face masks and that looks like decent sizes of shampoo conditioner body wash and face wash, but I don’t need mascara and don’t want the towelette. If it goes on clearance for 7 or 5 I think I’ll buy it but not for 10.

  19. Easy pass! Way too many foil packets in there for $10. If they drop it to $5, I’ll probably get one. $7 is even too much for this, imo. I had hoped they’d learn their lesson by now. These just don’t sell out quickly, like they used to.

  20. Foil packets and a sunless towel. Nope.

  21. I’d like to have this box as I’d use everything except the Sun Bum Sunless Self-Tanning Towelette. I’d love to try the Soap and Glory Face Soap and Clarity Face Wash, but I can wait until this box goes on sale or just buy it myself. Since I’m going to wait on this box to go on sale though, it will probably sell out. Just my luck lol!

  22. As of nine ocl0ck the Macy’s spa deal is still there!

    • Looks to still be available around 11:30AM Eastern. I glanced at it and was somehow able to talk myself out of buying it. I already have the Ahava and like a lot, and all the other stuff looks cool but like it would sit in my stash to be used (maybe) months from now or given away when I decide to de-overload my product overload. The struggle is real.

      • Our line of thoughts about the Macy’s set are very similar…. it’s a great deal, and I’d get it mostly to try the Elizabeth Arden exfoliating cleanser & the Laura Mercier eye serum (I’m so addicted to eye serums), since everything else I already have at least one of). But, I know everything would just sit in my collection for a while (most likely months, like you said) until I eventually got around to it. BUT, did that stop me from getting the Target box?!? No! Ha! Everything in the box is new to me, except for the face wash which I really liked. So, for me this box is worth it, even at $10, and it’s more exciting for me than the Macy’s set since virtually everything is new to me… plus, I’ve been wanting to try those L’Oréal masks since they came out. 🙂

        • The thing I’ve found with Target (and Walmart) boxes is I usually use everything in them. They don’t have a chance to accumulate like some of my other boxes do.

          • I’ll admit, the products do tend to accumulate, just like from my other boxes, but they do always eventually get used, and I still get excited about the Target boxes every month they come out. There’s always more new stuff, than not, in them to me, and that’s what makes it exciting, and worth it, for me. 🙂 I’ve always been one to look more at the personal value, than the RV, of a box.

  23. Is it me how is this box of samples worth $10? Although I would like to try a couple of things I just can’t even if it goes down to $7. I wouldn’t pay more than $5

How are people getting the $5 gift cards? Thanks

    • That’s exactly what I was thinking–waaaay overpriced box for a bunch of foil packs and samples.

I’ve noticed the Target $10 boxes don’t sell very well. In fact, they often go on “clearance” for $7 in a few weeks. This box isn’t even worth that. Definitely won’t buy.

    • It is certainly worth more than a Birchbox.

  24. Underwhelming for me. I have a lot of masks, clay included. Plus lots of mascara (and that one looks tiny) and I barely wear makeup. I just love to collect it and am now getting into it. Plus I don’t like foil packets, I always forget to open them BEFORE getting in the shower, lol.

Also I bought a few of those Macy’s spa sets for gifts and myself, which imo was way better! Thanks, Liz!

    • LOL about the foil packets!!! I always forget to open them before I hop into the shower. Opening one with water in your eyes and slippery fingers from other bath products is just about impossible!! I usually get so frustrated that I just throw the whole thing away. Why don’t they have little “tear here” tabs that would make opening them so much easier???

  25. I ordered one. This one is worth it to me. The last one was not. I have been wanting to try that mascara. The trial size is about $12.99. The rest is all a bonus.

  26. I agree with the others. Easy skip this month.

  27. I ordered. There are 10 items there, and I will use 9 of them. They are worth $1.11 apiece to me. I have tried two of the three L’Oreal masks already (there are 3 there), and my daughter and I both like them. The only thing I won’t use is the tanning towelette.

  28. I got this box because I love clay products. I had 2 coupons and used one to get the juicy grapefruit body lotion. Here is a coupon code if someone needs it. It expires today. L7LKN33F7K9CW9YK

  29. Wow, very underwhelming for $10. Think I’ll spend $2.50 more and get that Macy’s spa box if it’s still available instead.

    • I got that one last night! Its a great deal for some quality products….way more worth it than this box is!

    • What is the Macy’s spa box? I am curious! Thanks!

      • MSA posted about it yesterday. It should be only a few posts before this one.

    • The items in the Macy’s box are high end but TINY. I just went by the weights listed and compared them to a sample I had at hand. Skipping both Target and Macy’s for now.

  30. Meh. Easiest skip in a long time. Not even sure it would be worth $7 to me.

    • Agree!!

  31. Yesterday’s $12.50 spa set from Macy’s was a lot better.

  32. First skip in a very long time. I added it to my cart without even looking at the contents. So glad I went back and looked. Saved myself $10 but then went back and added lots of new flavors of Project 7 gum and gummy bears so spent $11 anyway. seems like a reasonable trade off. 🙂

    • I love project 7 gummy bears!

  33. This is the first skip for me in months. I want to try the L’OREAL clay face masks, but the rest of the box is very unappealing/unwanted items for me. I would reconsider this box at a lower price. If it sells out, that’s the risk I take. I’m ok with that. I have plenty of other masks to try out.

  34. The Target page doesn’t come up for me with that link…says the product isn’t available :/

  35. Not worth $10. Got that mascara in another box and didn’t like it. PASS. I do, however, like that they’re finally adding different brands to their boxes. Too many packets for me to mess with as well.

  36. Not worth $10, skip!

  37. $10…… *sigh*

The price will drop in a couple of weeks.

Thanks Liz for keeping us updated!

    • I was just thinking the same thing.

    • Right?!?! They didn’t learn their lesson the last time with the underwhelming $10 box?

  38. Easiest skip ever. I don’t think I’d bother with this one even if it were $5. The only value item for me might have been the mascara but I’ve heard mixed reviews on it. Nothing else in the box is remotely close to $10.

Only positive I can say is that at least Target is mixing it up a bit with brands and giving people a break from the derma-e and the Laniege. I think we went a full year with one or the other in every single box.

  39. Pass, nothing exciting for me. Ended up getting 3 of the Macy’s sale kits. Swell deal.

  40. Meh, Think I’ll skip it this time for 10. Maybe if it goes on sale later I’ll pick one up. Nothing I really “need” in it.

  41. Thank you Liz for letting us know! So happy I stayed up so I wouldn’t miss this!

Although my coupon from last month says expired 1/29/17 I added more to my cart in skin care items and it went through. It took the $3 off!
I’m not using my other coupon so if someone else wants to try it’s :
    M7FMJP9CPKVDKMJ9
    Good luck! 🙂

    • Dang it! I didn’t bother trying because it expired on 1/29. Maybe their computers thought it was still 1/29 because it was so early. I bought mine at 6:20AM Eastern, so who knows. I used a $5 gift card that was a bonus on an earlier Target purchase, so my box would’ve been $2.

      • Me, too! I didn’t even think to try it since my coupons haven’t been working even when they aren’t expired. I always have to email them to get credit.

      • I had to try it because I was disappointed that the coupon said it expired a day before the box came out. One great thing about these boxes is I can keep using the coupon in this months box for the next box.
I’m sorry some people missed out on this. I tried to post it as soon as I did it.
I guess we’ll see what this months coupons date says. If they make it before the date of the new box again and it doesn’t go through I might not be getting so many boxes in the future 🤔

  42. Bought one using my $5 give card credit I received last month for my expired coupon so I only paid $5.34. The $3 coupon inside the box will bring it down to $2.34, so I guess the cost is favorable. And I get the chance to try new products.

  43. Is anyone else having a problem with the shopping cart and being able to buy the box? I’ve tried two different credit cards and two different browsers, and it keeps telling me that something is wrong with my credit card. Very frustrating, especially considering how fast they usually sell out.

    • That happened to me, too. I used my PayPal account and it said it wasn’t going through- it said the payment method was not working and to check the expiration date, etc., on my card. However, about 2 minutes later, I got an e-mail from PayPal saying, “Thank you for my purchase” and confirming the $10.84 charge. The worst part is, I completed the charge twice, because I thought it didn’t go through. Looks like I am going to have to get on chat with customer service and see what is up. I know the funds are there, so the payment should be going through.

    • I’ve had this problem in the past, tried changing cards, etc., and I ended up using guest checkout and had it work fine. It sounds like you won’t have to worry about the box selling out this time.

  44. I bought one and the advent calendar plus a cat toy for my furkids. I was able to still use my $3 off coupon from this months box and I also used a $10 gift card I got in the store for paper towel purchases.

  45. Maybe if we all band together and not buy the box, it will go on sale for a cheaper price. I think $10 is too much or this.

  46. Kind of underwhelmed on this one. I dont think its worth 10$-for me anyways. With all the foil packets and the mini mascara (no full sized products this month? ) id grab it at 5$, and maybe consider it at 7$. But def not kts price point now. And yes i understand the masks are expensive, but include a travel size of just 1 instead of just foils and it would be a bit more enticing.

    • Target says the value is $38. Not sure I agree with that, but I usually have a $5 promo gift card, so always get the Target boxes. I shop at the store a lot, so will use the coupon, too.

  47. I swear, someone at Target has a coconut fetish.

    • LOL! I was thinking similar thoughts! What is with all these coconut scented products. This one is a skip for me. :-/

    • LOL!! Ahhhhhh that made my morning.

  48. $10, but if that mascara is full-size, it’s $21.99 by itself. Sometimes Target boxes seem expensive, but once they arrive, I’m always very happy with them.

    • Me too!

    • The mascara doesn’t look full size in the picture. I’m skipping this month…

      • That’s what I thought, looks tiny! Must be though if they say the value is $43. Still not getting the box. Hope it is though for the people who are getting it.

        • 38$ woops

        • I’m looking for a new mascara, so either way, now I don’t need to buy it at full price.

  49. Snagged one, honestly not sure it’s worth that over $7, but I can’t complain too much. I only paid $6.50 cause of the money they credited me last month for the expired coupon. Happy to try the masks, mascara and body wash. Not so sure about that face wash or shampoo/conditioner. Won’t know for sure till I get it.

    • I had a $5 gift card from last month, so for $5 it’s a bargain for me. With Target I usually have a $5 promo gift card, so I’m not gonna complain about the price.
