Switch will always use USPS First Class mail to send your jewelry unless it weighs more than 1 pound. Each package comes with a prepaid USPS return label so you can leave your return for your mail carrier or drop it off at the post office if you’re the nervous type (like me!)

When you sign up for Switch, you take a look at all the pieces in their collection and select your favorites. They then match your picks with what they have available and send you the number of pieces that match the plan you’ve chosen. You choose from actual items in their collection and not just something in a similar style.

This month I was looking for some statement earrings. I received a pair of simple, classy clip-on earrings and a pair of bold, dangly earrings.

Hermes Clou De Earrings – Value $495, Member Price $347

I’ve had my eye on these classy earrings for a while. They’re simple but also so glam at the same time. Surprisingly, I’ve never worn clip-on earrings before and was surprised by how comfortable and secure these felt. They are light weight and don’t irritate my ears at all.

The earrings came packed in a branded Hermes drawstring bag made from a herringbone fabric.

The clip holds tight on the lobe and the silicon bumper makes sure they don’t pinch.

I loved having this flash of subtle glam on my ears.

Etro Crystal Sculpted Earrings – Value $495, Member Price $320

I think these earrings are so stunning. The bent metal forms a lovely shape and catches the light so nicely. I’ve long been a fan of statement necklaces but have been getting more into statement earrings recently. I used to worry that big earrings were too much when paired with my glasses, but I no longer care! I believe in wearing what you want – you do you, girl.

The earrings came in a vibrant pink branded Etro drawstring bag.

The earrings are sturdy and well made from gold-tone metal. The ruby-tone studs are crystals.

I loved the look of the earrings but have to say they were a bit heavy. They would be uncomfortable for a full day of wear but would be doable for an evening out. Or one very fancy trip to the grocery store.

Verdict: I am so glad Switch gives me the opportunity to try new things with no commitment. Both of these earring styles (clip-on and heavy-dangly) were new to me and something that was great to try out before spending a ton of cash. I found the Etro earrings especially stunning this month, and would have been very tempted to buy them for myself if they had been a bit lighter and more comfortable for a full day of wear. The quality of these pieces is evident in the details and I always feel special wearing my rental items. The total value of my rental this month was $990 which is fantastic for the $49/month rental fee for 2 pieces at once.

  1. SO EXCITED! Just subbed to the 3 piece out at a time and I’ll be getting a Hermes enamel design bracelet & David Yurman cable triple x necklace & a “switch” pair of REAL gold and almost 1.5 tcw diamond earrings!! I Must be VERY VERY VERY careful because the value is over 3000$!! I’m also excited that Switch actually offers their own brand (even though that kind of defeats renting “famous luxury ” brands) & all their jewelry is REAL! And it took less than 24hours for them to pick my pieces and ship!!!

  2. Yesssss! Thanks for posting. This sub looks gorgeous.

  3. Brilliant review Emily!
