Scentbird was "born out of frustration with the "perfume graveyard" - expensive bottles of designer perfume collecting dust on your dresser or cabinet - Scentbird was created to provide an alternative that is both practical and exciting." Scentbird sends out authentic perfume each month in smaller vials for you to try them out, or switch up your scent more often. When you subscribe to Scentbird, you'll get a $15.00 "credit" each month to buy a full sized bottle of cologne - this doesn't look like it is cumulative, and seems more like a member's discount.

Scentbird includes a twist up perfume atomizer with your first shipment. You can order additional atomizers on their website for an additional fee.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

If you don't choose one by the cut-off date, they will send you the scent of the month. Next month it is Malin+Goetz Dark Rum.

This month Scentbird included a postcard about their new 'sister', Deck of Scarlet - "a bold makeup line and new palette subscription." Scentbird subscribers received a 15% off coupon code this month!

Scentbird-Women-December-2016-Peace-Love

This month, my next perfume in the lineup was Peace, Love, and Juicy Couture. It has notes of cassis, hyacinth, linden blossom, lemon, and honeysuckle. I really don't smell any of those individual notes when I wear this perfume. To be very honest, it smells a little powdery and old. I'm not a fan of this month's scent, unfortunately!

Verdict: The value of my perfume this month comes out to about $5.77 (based on Walmart's 1.7 fl oz size). This subscription is really dependent on which perfume you choose when it comes to value. I'm always happiest when I chose scents that I love versus scents that are expensive.

I love the size of these vials because they're perfect for travel or just to throw in your gym bag for a quick spritz when you need it. They're also cheaper than rollerballs, and I prefer spritzes anyway!

Have you tried Scentbird yet? What scent did you get this month?

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

I got my new Scentbird last night!! It’s Gucci Envy Me. It’s nice and fresh. I’m very happy that I get to have nice fragrances at a reasonable price with a reasonably-sized bottle.

How large are the perfumes they send every month? Are they about the size of a roller-ball perfume? Thanks!

The label on my Versace Versense spray says 0.27 oz, which is about 7 ml. I looked at a few rollerball sizes on Sephora.com and they range from 0.25 oz. – 0.33 oz. So, mine is a good deal since I Paid $15 and rollerballs on Sephora are $18+. Versace rollerballs are $22+. The value will depend on what you choose to have sent to you.

ScentBird is really making me mad. I had a coach perfume next in my queue and for some reason I’m getting Norelle or something like that instead. I emailed scentbird and I have yet to hear back.

Hi Mel. That’s frustrating & Scentbird has good Cust Service so I’m sure you’ll hear back from them. On a positive note, I tried Norell on a whim a couple months ago & I think it’s Amazing! My new fav & has real staying power. Not sure what you like, but Norell is a classic, and not cheap either. Good luck. 👍

I haven’t gotten my scent yet. It was supposed to be delivered Thursday, but scentbird says its still on the way. Scentbird also won’t send me my perfume that was supposed to be next. It was a Coach scent that I’ve dying to try. The thing that makes me mad is the Norell wasn’t never in my queue and it’s a floral scent. I’m not a fan of floral scents one because I don’t like the smell and two I have a fear of flowers. It sounds weird, but it’s true.

Mel

They’re 1.8 ml. I’d say they’re the same size or a little bigger than a roller ball

I love this sub. I really didn’t think I would like it but I’ve recently have gotten into perfume . It must be the fact I’m getting into my mid 40’s. lol I use scentbird blonde rose at least 3 times a day and still had over a half of a bottle at the end of the month . It’s worth the money in my opinion .

My Gucci Envy Me should be delivered in the next week. Last month (my first month), I received Versace Versense and I LOVE it! For $15, this is a fantastic way to truly find out if I like the scent or not. And, I get to pick the scent if I want to. Sometimes, I kind of like the scent the first 1-3 times, but it doesn’t grow on me. So, I get stuck with an almost full bottle that I won’t use. The size of the scent from Scentbird is a bit large for me to use in a month. Mine should last about 3 months because I use 1-2 spritzes per application.
