  1. Yay!!! This was what I was waiting for!!! Hufflepuff Pride right here!

  2. Loot crate still hasn’t even shipped January box, and they are already hinting for March 🤦‍♂️ 😒

      • Thank you, Eric. Yes, I got that email about the delay.
However, they delayed the first crate (second batch) and now this. One would expect that they got this better organized being a major subscription service and launching something as big as
        Harry Potter’s subscription.

    • loot crate has been slacking as well as lootwear/socks and tees the last couple months. They used to be on time like clockwork.

    • Many have complained that there is no purpose in having the option to pick a house for a crate that doesn’t have house specific items. So I believe Loot Crate wants to placate everyone who is getting the second box which most likely is lacking in house-specific stuff too. And get people who are thinking of cancelling the subscription to stick around. And also entice more people to join. They’re already stretched pretty thin though. >.< I think they need to cool it with all the extra specialty boxes (or hire more people). lol.

  3. I reallyyyyyy hope that Ravenclaw has blue/bronze for the colors and an eagle.

    • Do you mean a raven? raven(claw) if you want an eagle …

      • The animal for Ravenclaw is an eagle haha! Harry Potter nerd here!

        • actually, i just looked it up. I grew up in the UK where Harry Potter was a big thing, I started reading the books starting from the release of Chamber of Secrets. Whilst the book uses ravens, it has been stated ravens, and any merchandise from the book in the UK distribution (to my knowledge) is a raven.

In America however, the eagle was somehow used (maybe because an eagle looks more threatening or maybe because a lot of you Yanks don’t know what a raven is). Therefore, all these things that were themed off of the movies were eagles.

Claiming that Ravenclaw house is an eagle only shows your preference for the movies over the books, nothing wrong with that, but I doubt that makes you a bookish type of nerd.

          • The mascot for Ravenclaw is an eagle according to the Pottermore website which is written by JK Rowling.

          • The books have always used an Eagle as the Ravenclaw mascot. I’ve been reading since they first came out. I did midnight book releases too! Definitely an Eagle.
The movies used a raven for some reason and since WB holds the merchandise license, that is why you see raven everywhere. I’ve seen little to none merchandise with an actual eagle or the right colors.

Either way, we’ll have to wait and see what they do and I hope this next box isn’t delayed too much.

          • Please direct yourself to the Pottermore website where J.K. Rowling (herself) wrote: “The four Hogwarts houses have a loose association with the four elements, and their colours were chosen accordingly. Gryffindor (red and gold) is connected to fire; Slytherin (green and silver) to water; Hufflepuff (yellow and black, representing wheat and soil) to earth; and Ravenclaw (blue and bronze; sky and eagle feathers) to air.” Unfortunately, in this situation you are absolutely wrong.
            -Sincerely,
            A “Yank”

          • Also, no need to be so condescending.

        • oops sorry, my mistake. 🙂 I guess I never really looked at Ravenclaws too closely, it’s like you don’t really think about the other houses unless you are -IN- that house. I am constantly trying to remind people about Hufflepuffs.

    • OMG me too…this always bugs me about pretty much every bit of Ravenclaw merchandise that is sold. I can’t even…

    • Exactly! Like the Ravenclaw wax seal I wanted but it has a raven on it not an eagle. And when they mix up the house colors it is a bit annoying. I see so much merchandise with the ravenclaw colors as blue and silver (instead of blue and bronze). Drives me nuts to see such pretty things I want but refuse to buy if it doesn’t match the lore.
