Each bi-monthly delivery has been themed around one of the characters. So far, we’ve had KayleeJayneZoeWashburne, and the Serenity ship – this month features Yolanda/Saffron/Bridget – Yo-Saff-Bridge!

You’ll always get a copy of The Signal. Inside you’ll find information on each product along with stories from Firefly.

Each month includes a pin – and this one is a special call out to Saffron, who applied a drugged lipstick and gave Captain Reynolds a kiss to knock him unconscious.

Lassiter Blueprint Shirt – Value $15?

This month’s exclusive shirt is a blueprint of the Lassiter laser pistol. This was a gun that Malcolm and Saffron set out to steal. I love geeky shirts like this, it’s subtle and such an inside story that only a big Firefly fan would recognize.

Saffron Little Damn Heroes Mini Master Figure – Value $20-25

This month’s figure features Saffron, naturally.

I was initially surprised to see Saffron as a featured character for this box – but I think this is a fun figure for a fun episode.

I love that she’s concealing her true intent!

QBit Figure – Value $10-15?

It had been a while since we received one of these little figures and I’m happy to see them back.

You would receive either Inara or River – I got River – who did you get?

Serenity Metal Keychain – Value $10?

This was a bit of a surprise for me considering the previous box was a ‘Serenity’ ship themed box.

This is a nice metal keychain – and it’s got some nice ship detail – it’s also in a nice box, so you can gift it if you’d ever want to give away anything Firefly related.

Where in the ‘Verse Planetary Flash Cards – Value $2-3?

The planetary flashcards are back for the first time since the Wash themed box.

Firefly-Cargo-Crate-February-2017-0028

You’ll receive card #17 and #26 – Osiris and Bellerophon, respectively.

Firefly Travel Sticker – Value $2?

Continue your Firefly passport with this Bellerophon sticker!

Verdict: As a vinyl figure nut – I’m happy to see the little QFigs back! Combined with the Saffron figure and shirt – I thought this was back to a month of expected, but solid, items.  I’m also glad that the bigger items account for the value of the box, leaving the flash cards and stickers to really just be toss-ins because that’s what they feel like.

  1. Late getting to check out this review (I avoid it until I get my box); but I was wondering how others felt about a Sadffron themed box….

I, truthfully, feel a little cheated. And I am a big Firefly geek and love this sub.

I get that to keep the sub running they will have to do more than the main characters but… It still feels a little jerky. I’m still waiting for Mal, River, Inara, Shepard and Simon for goram’s same.

I will say if they want to do a non-main character they should do one based off of Jubal Early, the assassin. That was one of the best pieces of writing and acting ever… Not just Firefly… Ever.

  2. Not my fandom but even still, it looks like a quality box!
