Shea Terra Organics Rose Hips Black Soap Deep Pore Facial Cleanser – 1 oz, Value $4.50
I love Shea Terra Organics products! It’s made based on an ancient African formula using African black soap. It is 100% natural and it is gentle with no harsh chemicals. It works similar to a microdermabrasion to help resurface skin, fight signs of aging, and even clear up acneic skin, too.
Manna Kadar Blush in Paradise – Value $19
Whenever Manna Kadar puts a product out in one subscription box, you’re sure to see it in at least two or three others! Haha. I just got this in my December Mommy Mailbox.
This is a brand new blush from Manna Kadar. It’s a bright warm pink with some subtle gold-toned shimmer.
It’s very pigmented – this blush will last a very long time! It blends well, too, which is obviously very important, too. I think this is a very pretty shade that you can build to customize the amount of color you want and will flatter any complexion!
Here’s a swatch – I think this is a great blush for just about anyone!
Dirty Lamb Organic Body Coffee Scrub – Listed Value $8
This scrub has super simple ingredients: Arabica coffee, organic coconut oil, fresh mint leaves, peppermint extract, and water. It smells amazing!
Here is what it looked like in the jar. It was solid, likely from the coconut oil. It took some effort to get enough out but wasn’t too bad. I used it as a hand scrub and it felt really nice! One of our readers, Donna, gave us a heads-up that this scrub is a little messy in the shower and kinda hard to clean, which I agree based on my sink after using as a hand scrub. Because of this (and the fact that I don’t want to clog my pipes with large amounts of grinds), I’ll probably stick to using this as a lip scrub or occasional hand scrub.
Girlactik Sparkle Eyeliner Set in Champagne – Value $20
The info card lists these separately, as an individual sparkle glitter ($11) and black base ($16), but Girlactik sells these as a set for $20, so I’m going with that value. This set is a 2-step process for applying super glittery eyeliner!
To apply, you use a fine angled eyeliner brush to apply the black base as if you were just applying normal eyeliner. Then you dab the brush in the glitter and press it onto the base. They say for a more sheer glittery look to use the pearl base instead of the black, which I think I’d have loved to get/try! But the black base doesn’t make it look super dramatic or anything, plus it still defines your eyes well like normal liner. (pic of this on below!)
Beautiful Birdie Cosmetics Smudge- and Water-Proof Full Lash Mascara – Value $22
This mascara is made with vitamin E, rosemary extract, and lavender extract to condition, strengthen, and enrich lashes. I haven’t found many natural mascaras I really like, so I was skeptical about this one – but I was pleasantly surprised!
I actually really liked the formula and the brush applied it well, too. I also found it to wear well – it didn’t smudge on me, but I don’t have oily skin, so it might perform a little differently on an oilier skin type.
Bunny Bath and Body Morning Jolt Caffeine Eye Serum – 10 mL, Value $7
This under-eye serum is designed to reduce puffiness, dark circles, and slow signs of aging. And is made with coffee beans, almond oil, vitamin E, and avocado oil. I like this a lot! I have dry skin and love using oils and serums. I’ve used for a couple days and like the moisture it gives me, plus the smell of coffee from it the morning is nice.
They say some separation is normal due to the fact that it’s all-natural, and I definitely see some of that. While standing on my bathroom counter, I noticed the dark coffee bean part was sitting on the bottom of the glass, and shaking it didn’t help right away. I tried standing it upside down, but then the next day I got coffee granules applied right to my skin when I rolled this on. So, I guess I’m just going to trust the caffeine is infused with the oils at this point and if there are coffee beans sitting on the bottom, it doesn’t mean that the serum doesn’t still work as intended. All that being said, I do like this a lot, overall.
Here, I’m wearing the sparkly eyeliner, the mascara, and the blush. I’m really happy with all of the products!
Here’s a better look at the sparkle eyeliner. It’s more subtle and wearable than I thought it’d be. I’d really love to try it with the pearl base, though – I may order that to use!
Verdict: Benevolent Beauty is a new favorite beauty box of mine! I love the discoveries I’ve made and find at least one new favorite product that excites me every month. I love that they mark vegan items, and I am always impressed with the value! This month adds up to $80.50, which is on the low end of what I have come to expect from this subscription, but it’s still awesome for a $29.99 box so I’m still happy!
