Unique Vintage 1950s Black and White Stretch Colorblock Tippi Swing Dress – Value $88
I think this is lovely, and the color block design lets you play with accessory colors. As you can see, I bought a petticoat. I'm still getting used to adjusting it to the right position but I do think it filled out the skirt nicely. This doesn’t seem like it would look right with a shrug or sweater due to the neckline, so it is probably a warm weather kind of dress for me.
And here’s a look at the back – nothing too dramatic. This was very hard to zip up on my own and my husband had to help me. It fit, the zipper just caught a little around the transition from black to white.
And here is a bonus picture, just so you have an idea of what it is like trying to take pictures at my house. Mr. Kitty was not the only cat circling the room, he is just the only one who got caught on camera…
Verdict: The dress I received from Unique Vintage this month had a value of $88, which is definitely above the cost of the subscription. Plus, it was actual regularly-priced merchandise and not from the clearance page. I don’t usually go for neutrals, but there is something about this dress that I really like. I think the illusion of a shirt/skirt combination works well for my body type, also.
