Orglamix is a vegan and cruelty-free beauty subscription containing loose shadows, glitter pigments, aromatherapy roll-ons, and more. Many of the items in the subscription will be unique to the subscription and not available in the Orglamix shop (although they will have the same great formula).

I like the new boxes, by the way!

The box came with an information card detailing the items for December. The theme was “Winter Wonderland.”

Skin Dew Hydrating Essence Mist and Setting Spray (4 fl oz) – Listed Value $18

I will admit, I absolutely never use facial sprays or setting sprays (I prefer powders for setting makeup). I think I just don’t like spraying myself in the face. But, since the information card suggests using this before or after moisturizer, I’ve tried it in place of an essence (in a multi-step K-beauty-inspired facial care routine) and I like it that way, especially in dry weather. (I spray it on a cotton pad but there is no reason not to spray directly on your face if you are so inclined.)

Wintergreen Hand, Cuticle, and Foot Balm – Listed Value $20

I really need a product like this right now. I am taking a nail polish break of a few weeks because my nails are in terrible shape, but it means I can also treat my cuticles regularly. And, my last foot peel didn’t work as well as expected (I used a new brand and think it was too weak) so I have also tried using this on the rough parts of my feet until enough time has passed for me to do another foot peel.

Chill Pill Essential Oil Rollerball – Value $18

You will generally get at least one fragrance product in an Orglamix box. This seems like it is intended to be more of an aromatherapy product than a fragrance (although it has peppermint, ginger, rosemary, laurel, and eucalyptus, so it does have a wintry thing going on) and is supposed to help with stress. It is also suggested in the information card to apply it to the back of the neck, lower back, etc. I suppose the mint and eucalyptus work similarly in this as in muscle rubs so you may see an effect there. I haven’t been stressed enough to really test this out yet, but I will probably keep it in my purse or my desk at work, just in case.

Snow Storm Almost Matte Mineral Eyeshadow – Listed Value $12

You will generally get at least one mineral eyeshadow in an Orglamix box. This white is a great wintry color but will go with pretty much anything (and it even shows up pretty well on my super pale skin).

Frost Bite Tinted Lip Whip – Listed Value $12

Think of this like a tinted lip balm. You can see it in the swatch below but I really had to pile it on to get the color to show up.

Here are swatches of the eyeshadow and lip whip.

There were also a few peppermints in the box. I’ve been obsessed with mint hot chocolate lately so I hammered these to smithereens and put them in some cocoa!

Verdict: I calculated a value of $80 for the December Orglamix subscription box. Of course, only one item was in the shop and I had to take the rest of the values from the information card, but the prices are in line with other items in their shop (all eyeshadows are $12, for example). At any rate, I definitely feel the value is there for this subscription, even if one or two items have inflated values. I think the box contents this month are representative of what you will get with this subscription (some months are more color-heavy) and everything had a fun winter theme.
