Mommy Mailbox is a monthly subscription box for mothers, though I think it’s a great box for women in general. Every month, they send a box filled with gifts and items curated to uplift moms. (Although, I think these boxes are generally well-curated for any woman!)

Each box comes with a little card that discusses the theme & focus for that month. This month, the theme is “Glow,” curated by Casi Densmore-Koon.

On the flip side, the card lists and described all the items featured that month.

Rose Gold Crystal Bracelet by Olive + Piper – Value $28

So pretty! This bangle is plated with 14k rose gold and is flexible so it accommodates any wrist size well. I love the simple but glitzy design.

Here’s how the bracelet looks on. It’s light and comfortable – definitely easy to wear.

Manna Kadar Blush in Paradise – Value $19

This is a brand new blush from Manna Kadar. It’s a bright warm pink with some subtle gold-toned shimmer.

mommy-mailbox-december-2016-items4

It’s very pigmented – this blush will last a very long time! It blends well, too, which is obviously very important, too. I think this is a very pretty shade that you can build to customize the amount of color you want and will flatter any complexion!

Here’s a swatch – I think this is a great blush for anyone.

Jo’s Candies Peppermint Bark – Value $1.67

This peppermint bark is made with a bottom layer of dark chocolate, a top layer of white chocolate, and covered with candy cane pieces. This was delicious. It’s a perfect little addition to any gift this season but, honestly, this just didn’t last much longer after I took these photos!

GLOW For a Cause Facial Nourishing Cream, Calendula & Citrus – Value $38

This facial cream is paraben-, petrochemical-, synthetic fragrance-, and cruelty-free! Made in the USA, too. I’ve tried a body cream from this brand and wasn’t thrilled but I really love this facial cream! The formula is soft and hydrating, and it smells so fantastic! I love citrus, and this cream is scented with 100% pure essential oils of lemon, bergamot, and tangerine, (some of my faves!) to soothe damaged skin without leaving a greasy feeling.  I know I’m going to use this whole thing this winter.

Sweep Oval Face Brush – Value $15

Oval face brushes are a huge new trend that have popped on the makeup scene… they took me some getting used to, but they’re pretty versatile! You can use them for applying powder (or blending liquid) blush, highlighter, or bronzer, and even buffing liquid foundation into the skin. These are interesting and handy, but they haven’t changed my life or anything. I’m really happy to try one through a subscription box because I like it but I’m just as happy with my current brushes and tools.

Verdict: This was a nice Mommy Mailbox for December. I think it’s a nice curation of gifts for any woman to help her have “a little extra sparkle and shine,” like the info card/curator intended. I like and will use everything they sent, so that’s a win for me. The retail value adds up to $101.67 which is awesome for a $33.95 box.

I know the box’s name says “mommy” but honestly this would be a great subscription or gift for pretty much any woman!

nice box and I’m not a mom but this one is now on my wish list. I wish the price was a bit lower or a better coupon came up.

The brush is no Artis, but it is a great travel option for me. I love the oval brushes so much! The eyeliner and eyeshadow ones make a smokey eye a snap!

I absolutely love the Sweep oval brush! It’s one of my favorite subscription finds so far. Love it for blending my foundation which sometimes settles in the fine lines and wrinkles….this brush smoothes everything out…it’s great!

Shimmery blush doesn’t look good on me (over 40). It can highlight wrinkles and can look ‘aging’. Everything else in the box looks really great tho!
