Would you be able to get your cat to wear it? Mine would put up a fight. You should see what happens at nail trim time. Though that sweater is cute.

Two of mine I can put in sweaters. Monkey puts up with it. Mr. Kitty fights me but I win. Sneaky and Madison? I don’t even try with them. (Check out the Whiskerbox review for proof…)

As for nail trimming, I let the vet handle that.

My cats also used to put up a huge fight about me trimming their nails. But I modified what I was doing and now they don’t mind. Here’s what I learned to do in case it might help you or others:

I found it easiest to use nail trimmers for kittens on them even tho they are grown cats.

I approach them with the nail trimmer when they are laying somewhere quietly and I give them lots of love first. Then I don’t try to move them onto me- just let them stay laying as they were, as best as possible.

Holding their paw securely but not too hard – when I trim them i make sure to under-trim the nail rather than taking too much and possibly hitting the “quick” (dark area with a blood supply at the back of the nail). They seem to have a v sensitive area in their nail right before you get to the quick. So I I figure it’s better to take a less and trim more frequently, that way they will not mind me trimming.

I only trim the nails in their front paws. That’s where the scratching comes from. I’ve never found a need to trim their back nails.

Also, after I’m done I make sure to give them A LOT of yummy treats. They quickly grew to not mind the nail trim!

I have a Persian and she loves wearing clothes.
