The box came with a booklet that described each item and how to use it. The box had 8 items total.

PureSmile Cherry Blossom Essence Mask - Value $1.50

The first item in the box was a sheet mask. The scent was very light and refreshing. One of the things I love about sheet masks is the amount of product on each one. This felt great on and there was a lot of moisturizer left after I took it off. After I rubbed that excess in, my skin did feel really soft and hydrated.

CHOOSY Lip Pack: Peach - Value $1.50

I haven’t tried a lip mask before! It never crossed my mind before but I’m starting to feel the winter chill so I was excited to try a new way to hydrate my lips. The peach scent smelled yummy which was nice but also a little too tempting when you have your mouth sealed for 30 minutes! This was a little odd because it kind of felt like having a big sticker over your mouth but it was moisturizing. I don’t know that this will replace my chapstick but it was fun to try!

Naive Peach Face Wash - Value $4.99

This full-size face wash was another peach scent! The face wash had a thick, creamy consistency that lathered up really well. I think this will last me a while because I didn’t have to use much at all to wash my face. This left my face with a slightly “squeaky-clean” feeling which usually tells me I need to moisturize after or my skin will dry out a bit. I don’t think this will replace my makeup removing face wash but it has been a really nice morning face wash to start my day!

NonKuma x Hello Kitty Eye Patch - Value $9.03

The NonKuma x Hello Kitty eye patches are meant to combat dark under eye circles. This pack came with four sets of eye patches. They are supposed to improve circulation with heat and may even help with congestion! The Hello Kitty design is cute and they got warm within a minute of me putting them on. The warmth was really soothing and lasted about 20 minutes. One of my favorite things about this product was that it came with four sets and they’re reusable! You can put them back on the plastic tray to get many more uses out of them.

Hotto Mie Eye Mask - Value $8?

This was listed under the Pamper section of the product list and it was definitely a hit with me! This pack came with 5 masks in adorable patterns. The masks are air activated so once you remove them from the packaging and put them on your face, they warm up to approximately 104°. You put them on like glasses (they have little straps for your ears), then leave them on as long as you like. I think these are so nice to use when winding down for bed whether you’re taking a bath, reading a book, watching tv, etc.

Family Honey Soap - Value $6?

This is a simple little soap of honey and Royal Jelly. This soap smelled just like honey! At first, I thought this would be a little guest bath soap but it did lather up really well so it’s a great body wash with a loofa or washcloth.

Yuzu Bath Tablets - Value $2?

The citrus scent on this bath tablet was so reinvigorating! The tablet fizzed quickly in the water and I really liked the clean citrus scent - it smelled like a fresh lemon or orange.

kira-kira-crate-november-2016-0014

Lemon scents can sometimes move into the cleaning product territory but this just smelled like a fresh citrus fruit. I combined this soak with one of the Hotto Mie Eye Masks and it was like being in a spa!

Super Extra Lashes - Value $4?

I have never used false lashes before and find them a little intimidating. There were four possible styles you could receive in this box and I got the SE-16 Super Dolly. I decided to trim the lashes and just do the outside corners of my eyes.

kira-kira-crate-november-2016-0018

I like that it came with a little tube of glue so I didn't have to search around for that. I definitely have a long way to go in lash application but it was fun! The booklet also came with three simple eye makeup tutorials to try with your false lashes!

Verdict: It’s hard to get an exact value for the items in Kira Kira Crate so many of my prices are estimates based on what I could find online. The value feels good for a $29 box because it included a full-size face wash and products that were reusable (Hello Kitty Eye Patch) or had mutliples (Hotto Mie Eye Mask). I liked those products a little more than the sheet mask because sheet masks are so readily available now that it’s more fun to try products I don’t normally have access to. If you live in a place where all the products are easily accessible, this might not seem worth the cost of the box. But this did introduce new products and brands to me. I really enjoyed all of the products and found a few that I will add to my regular routine so I’m happy with this box. I even tried false eyelashes for the first time! I’m excited to see what kind of products Kira Kira Crate can introduce to me next!

This box looks fun however Im glad I passed. I don’t consider single use items like 1 mask or 1 bath tablet a full sized item. This looks more of a $15-$18 box in my opinion due to such low product value and the amount of single use items.

LAURA GUZMAN

This box was fun to get! But the NonKuma x Hello Kitty Eye Patch DID NOT heat up for me!!

Valerie

It didn’t heat up for me either. It also didn’t last as long as other patches I’ve used but they were very cute!

Does it say in the instructions that it’s supposed to heat up? On the cover it says that it generates “far infrared waves”, which I’m not familiar with, but I found a link about how it supposedly aids in healing the body… or something. http://www.globalhealingcenter.com/natural-health/health-benefits-of-far-infrared-therapy/
