The packaging on this box is really top notch - I love the wood-look box! Their website has other month's box contents, and the value is recently consistently over $70.00.

The Gentleman's Box includes a small glossy pamphlet with all of the items you receive in the box detailed, as well as a profile of a featured member. This month the theme is "Our Favorite Mad Man." This month, they also included a coupon for Try The World.
One thing to note, and I'm assuming it is because I receive a review box, is that I don't get the monthly edition of GQ that is usually included. So that is an additional value that you won't see in my reviews.
PerePaix Viscose Wool Scarf - Listed Value $75.00
I really love the colors of this scarf and the name of it made me really excited - it says wool. I checked the tag though and this scarf has no wool in it at all. It is 100% polyester. I was super bummed. First of all, you can find a polyester scarf at your neighborhood discount store for about $5.00, not $75.00, and the name was really misleading. Either way, I do like the colors and I will likely steal it from my husband - he's not a scarf wearer!
DeadSoxy Pocket Square - Value $11.00?
This pocket square is really classy! I love the contrasting colors, the pattern, and the button hole. I couldn't find this exact one on DeadSoxy's site, but there are a few others that are quite nice. This would look great with navy or gray in my opinion!
Gentlemen Essentials Socks - Listed Value $15.00
This is an in-house brand from The Gentleman's Box, so this is an exclusive for the box. These socks are really nicely made, with great elasticity and the colors are great. They feel so soft and they hold their shape throughout the day.
Aster Ganos Tie - Value $89.00
This tie is crafted from 50% wool and 50% silk - now that's what I call a nice tie. The weight of the tie is really nice, and it knots quite well. Since this is a skinny tie, I think a smaller knot is the way to go! The colors match great with the DeadSoxy pocket square as well.
John Varvatos Artisan Sample Cologne - Bonus Item
This cologne has notes of Sicilian clementine, tangelo, mandarin, thyme, marjoram, lavadin, North African orange tree blossom, Indian murraya, orange jasmine tree, ginger extracts, kephalis, georgywood, gelambre, and serenolide. I'll just be honest - I have no idea what some of those things are but I really loved the scent. It was light and fresh with a very citrusy smell!
Verdict: This box has a value of about $190 if you count the cost of the (very) inflated scarf. Even without that inflated value though, the value definitely exceeded the cost of the box, with the tie being the clear winner this month. I think it was very December appropriate, with the tie, pocket square and scarf being useful throughout the winter and autumn months!
