Josie & Hue the White Clay Mask – 2 oz, Value approximately $21.34 USD
This mask is described as “A Nourishing and Firming Mask which will clean, tone, and smooth your skin with its collagen benefits. Helps with cell growth and repair and is loaded with Vitamins A and C, calcium and iron.” That sounds great to me!
One thing I really love is that the Josie& Hue website list different liquids to use to best benefit your skin type. You can use water for any, but dry skin may benefit extra from using honey cream, oils (like grapeseed or sesame), or apple cider vinegar. Normal skin could use milk, oils, or rose/orange blossom water. And oily skin could use water, witch hazel, and rose/orange blossom water. You can apply these ideas to any powdered mask!
Herbal Transdermal Deep Pore Mineral Toner – 2 oz, Value $3.75
This toner cleans and refreshes your skin but it also delivers a ton of natural elements found in nature to nourish your skin. This is chemical-free and it felt good on my face. I love toners and they’re something I feel like you get much less of in subscription boxes than other skincare items.
La Ritsy Matte Lipstick in Karma – full size, Value $20
I’ve tried La Ritsy lipsticks before and I have liked them! This is made with plant and fruit extract oils to help hydrate your lips while still providing a matte finish. I like the formula of this; it’s pretty dry but not drying, if that makes sense. It feels solid in the tube when applying, and the staying power is actually quite good! The website makes the color look a lot more plummy than it actually is, though.
Ardency Inn Modster Long Play Lip Vinyl in Studio Mix – Value $23
This is an interesting lip formula. I can see where they got the idea to call it a lip “vinyl.” It’s thick and tacky so it sticks to your lips for a long wear time but it doesn’t stick together when you’re wearing it. It’s also a shiny finish! (pics of both lip products below)
Adamma Beauty Fibre Lash Extender & Mascara Kit – Value approximately $50.73 USD
I’ve tried a lot of fiber lash mascara kits between working at Sephora and getting them in subscription boxes. This one works pretty well! I didn’t smudge under my eyes at all. But I have 2 gripes: First, I wish the fiber wand was a little different shape or size so it held fewer fibers at one time so I could have more control. It’s packed full of clingy fibers so it’s hard to not end up with a clump of them wherever you first apply it. Second, and partially because of the first issue, is that I wish the mascara wand had more defining/separating characteristics to help really show off the extra length you’re getting from the fibers and helping to control clumping.
Here are swatches of the La Ritsy Lipstick and the Ardency Inn Lip Vinyl.
And here’s how the lips and fiber mascara look on! I love the pretty nude color of the La Ritsy shade, and I think the bold and bright color of the Ardency Inn lip vinyl is great, but I’ll probably hold onto it for summer.
Verdict: Benevolent Beauty is one of my newer favorite beauty boxes! Every single month, I usually love everything in the box and always find new product and brand discoveries. I also am consistently impressed with the value. This month’s box adds to $118.82, which is just a bit higher than what I’ve come to expect from this sub!
