Nerd Block has announced some changes to the Arcade Block! Starting in January, Arcade Block will become Gamer Block. You will be able to choose between two Gamer Blocks:

Gamer Block E For Everyone - brands and games suited for the whole family

Gamer Block M For Mature - items and collectibles for an older audience

Disclaimer: All current Arcade Block subscribers will be automatically n the E for Everyone Gamer Block. You will be able to switch to the M for Mature Gamer Block shortly. Stay tuned for more details to follow. Brands featured are generally suitable for ages 17 and up.

I wonder how they will implement this? A lot of the throwback (classic) video game stuff might be too old for younger gamers (and thus a bust in the Everyone / E box), but yet obviously it wouldn’t belong in the Mature / M box either. I guess what I’m wondering is who is the target audience for the Everyone box (I know, it’s “everyone,” but seriously?). Meanwhile, I think I could really get behind the M box given the games that are actually played at my house (basically all first-person shooter games). Unless the Mature box is just an excuse to send out dumb shot glasses and other junk, in which case, pass.
