The theme for the first WWE Slam Crate was, appropriately, The First!

wwe-slam-crate-the-first-2016-0004

Do you remember THE FIRST time you watched a WWE match? The feeling of awe and excitement from witnessing historic firsts and amazing matches never truly go away, and that's what we're celebrating in our FIRST WWE SLAM CRATE: awesome, funny, and inspiring firsts!

The magazine listed out all the items in the box and included an interview with Xavier Woods!

wwe-slam-crate-the-first-2016-0006

The interview with Xavier was a cool bonus and when they asked him how he felt when he opened the first Loot Crate WWE Slam Crate he said, "It's cool because you know when you're in the car and you're way happier to hear a song when it randomly comes on the radio than when you just look for it and play it? It was kind of like that". I love that! I think that's the most perfect description of how I feel about subscription boxes.

The magazine opens up into a full size poster of Shinsuke Nakamura. Nakamura is the current NXT Champion. NXT is the developmental division of WWE and, depending on what's happening with the main storylines, can often be more exciting than Raw or Smackdown. The characters are super fun so this was a nice bonus!

Exclusive Enzo and Cass T-Shirt - Value $25?

This t-shirt premiered on 9/19 on Monday Night Raw and is an exclusive new design! Enzo and Cass are a really popular tag team and this design captures their loud personalities. It's actually a little tame compared to Enzo's wardrobe. ?

wwe-slam-crate-the-first-2016-0010

The quality of this t-shirt is good! If you've ever bought merch directly from WWE before, this is totally on par with that.

Exclusive New Day Collectible Figure - Value $20?

The New Day is such a fun stable. They were all great on their own (Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods) but it's been really fun to see them reign as champs together. This Loot Crate exclusive is "made with 100% positivity" and is a really solid figurine.

wwe-slam-crate-the-first-2016-0026

I love how bright and cute this is. As a huge Kofi Kingston fan, I'm happy with this figurine!

Exclusive Dean Ambrose Belt Buckle - $Value $20?

I'm not going to lie, I still miss The Shield. But, post-Shield, Dean Ambrose is one of the most entertaining people in the WWE. He's so much fun to watch and his anarchist style is obvious in his logo on this belt buckle. This item is heavy-duty and a great way to show your support for the Lunatic Fringe. We've been getting very tiny hints at a possible Shield reunion so I'll be wearing this belt and hoping for the best!

Exclusive Austin Aries Topps Trading Card - Value ?

"The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived" is Austin Aries, another NXT wrestler. Be sure to check your card, 100 of them were autographed!

wwe-slam-crate-the-first-2016-0012

The card also mentions that Topps will have NXT 2016 trading cards in December so keep your eye out for that if this is the beginning of you NXT trading card collection!

Exclusive Mitch Plant Kit - Value $10?

I definitely laughed out loud when I saw this in the box. It's so goofy and wonderful! Mitch was a houseplant that belonged to Dean Ambrose. Mitch was brutally smashed over Dean Ambrose's head by Chris Jericho. I'll gladly honor Mitch with my own houseplant!

wwe-slam-crate-the-first-2016-0020

This kit comes with a bamboo pot, seed packet, and peat pellet. I really love this little plant kit! It comes with simple instructions to sprout your seeds.

wwe-slam-crate-the-first-2016-0021

The pot is 100% biodegradable so once it starts to crack you can transfer it (plant and pot) into the ground. I love that!

Exclusive NXT Embroidered Patch - Value $5?

It makes sense to include NXT gear in "The First" box because that is where we get our first glimpse of so many great wrestlers. The embroidery on this patch is nice and it's iron-on so it's super simple to show your NXT love wherever you want!

Exclusive Metallic Blue Sasha Banks Sunglasses - Value $10?

Reppin' the WWE Divas in this box is Sasha Banks. These metallic blue sunglasses will help you look the part of a legit boss. These plastic sunglasses are the only item that feels like it's on the cheaper side. I don't mind that too much because I wouldn't really wear this style of glasses so it's definitely more of a prop item for me.

Exclusive WWE Championship Pin - Value $10?

It feels appropriate to end the box with a WWE Championship title enamel pin. This replica of the championship belt is weighty so I'm glad it came with two fasteners on the back.

Verdict: I was so excited when I first heard about this crate and it did not disappoint! One of my favorites things about WWE is watching with friends and part of watching with friends is making sure you're outfitted with awesome apparel and props! This box definitely contributes to that and the fact that its all authentic/exclusive is awesome. This box has a nice range of options and I think the value is more than covered between the shirt, figurine, belt buckle, and pin. I'm also really excited to see what future boxes contain. WWE has so many wonderful characters that you could easily fill boxes with awesome merch. I would love to see a classic WWE box or something around one of the yearly events - Money in the Bank, Royal Rumble, or Hell in a Cell box please!
