Tinsel Box includes a small, full-color brochure with information about the items, the artists, and the holiday that the box is curated around.

This box includes a super fun item from Inklings Paperie

tinsel-box-october-2016-banners

Halloween Banner - The Minds Eye - Value $9.99

This banner is 3.5 feet long and the letters are black glitter. It literally got everywhere when I was trying to photograph it, so keep that in mind and open it in an easy to clean place! If I were planning to keep this long term, I would probably paint it with a bit of Mod Podge to keep the glitter in place!

Bat Garland - The Minds Eye - Value $9.99

This banner is about 8 feet long with glitter accented bats. I love the prints of the bats - they're all very Halloween-ish but still stylish at the same time!

Here's a picture of the Halloween banner unfurled a bit. My light box is a little too small to display the entirety of the banner but you can get a good look at the glittery letters here!

Look at all those super cute prints! I never thought I would say bats are cute...

tinsel-box-october-2016-card-opi

Trick or Treat Card by Rifle Paper - Value $4.50

This card is so cute! I love all the little costumes and the looks on each of the characters faces.

tinsel-box-october-2016-opi

Push and Pur-Pull by OPI - Value $7.35

I think this might be an older OPI color. I can only find it available on Amazon and several posts online regarding it are from 2014. With that said, it's a gorgeous color purple and it's perfect for Halloween!

tinsel-box-october-2016-inklings-teeth

Buck Teeth Style Pumpkin Teeth - Value $3.00

These pumpkin teeth are designed to be used with your jack-o-lantern to give them glow in the dark teeth. There are 12 in each package, which means you can likely use a package on multiple pumpkins!

tinsel-box-october-2016-inklings-scratchers

Treasure Scratchers by Inklings Paperie - Value $14.00

These are such a cool idea. I've not seen them before but essentially they are scratchers that have three winning cards (they're packaged on top, so be sure to shuffle before passing them out!). I have a friend that is hosting a Halloween Party on Saturday and these are going to her house!

tinsel-box-october-2016-meri-napkins

Meri Meri Halloween Ghost Napkins - Value $5.95

These little napkins are cut out like ghosts and are seriously adorable. They would be perfect for any Halloween party.  The package comes with 20 napkins.

Verdict: This TinselBox has a value of about $54.78. For a $33.95 box, I think that's a winner! All of the items in the box are absolutely perfect for a Halloween themed decor box - with an easy do-it-yourself project, several items that would work for a Halloween get together (or just to decorate with during the month of October), and a perfectly coordinated nail polish. I really enjoyed this month of Tinsel Box and I'm looking forward to what December bring!

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

I love that bat garland!
And of course the Rifle Paper Co card (but I have yet to see anything from that company that I don’t love)

I am confused about the pricing on this box… it says 33.95 every other month at the top of the review, in the conclusion it says not bad for a 19.99 box… and that the reviewer is looking forward to November… does that mean the box is shipped every month but you are billed for two boxes every other month?

Sorry – there were some mistakes in the verdict regarding pricing and frequency. Thanks for pointing those out – the post has been updated accordingly!

I don’t understand why this box is coming out right now on Nov 12th. You can’t really use anything until next year. There is another box like this right? I believe that they send out the holiday that gets the most action like like a month or two before the holiday it’s self. Or if not that is what should be going on. On top of that this box is cute but I dont see a 34 dollar value. Everyone has the right to their own……….. And everyone’s value of a box is different and so on. I don’t want to step on anyones toes either. They had to know that this was bad timing for a holiday box specially if that is what their box is based on. Forget Turkey Day! Stores have Christmas tree’s out before Halloween was even over….

I believe all subscribers received this box before Halloween – we’re just a little late in getting the review up. Sorry for any confusion!

Adorable box, when did you receive it? I am subbing to a holiday themed box but it ships the very last week of the month. To me this is crazy, I didn’t have time to use the items sent. Just curious about this box. Thanks! I am looking for a holiday box that ships the first week of the month, that way I can actually use the items and not have to wait a full year.

Good morning! Loved this review and the box looks cute. I am in love with that bat garland!!! Just a heads up – I think maybe the box price is wrong in your “verdict.” I wish I had signed up for this before that hefty price increase 🙁
