The box is anything but standard! The outer box is a nice glossy black, with a paisley inner box. It opens like a little drawer…they definitely score points for a cool box.

This month the box was curated by Patrick Bateman. Fitting for an October box, right?

menswear-club-october-2016-tie

Frederick Thomas Navy Skull Tie – Value $30.85 USD (on sale for $12.33 USD)

This tie is a thicker size than the ties that are currently in vogue – I think I like it! The weight of the fabric is heavier as well, which makes for a great double Windsor knot. The skull pattern will relegate this to certain times of year for some men but I know other men that would gladly wear it all year round. My husband is not one of those, so this will be passed along.

Slick Lord Tortoise & Gold Folding Comb – Value $11.99

This comb is pretty cool – it folds up into about four inches long, so it’s very handy to keep in your pocket or car for quick hair touch-ups during the day!

Dapper Lapels – Emelia Orange (Sheen) Lapel Flower – Value $28.00

This lapel flower is really pretty! I love the color and it seems like it will hold up really well. This looks great with a navy, gray, or black suit.

menswear-club-october-2016-clay

Tazmaneian Tame – Grimore Halloween Clay – Listed Value $12.00

This hair clay is scented with oakmoss and vetiver. I love the scent.

My husband tried this out in his hair and he really liked the way it styled in his hair. The clay was quite sticky – a bit more sticky than his usual pomade. He styles his hair when it is wet and the water really helped get it distributed easily.

Rock My Socks Gray and Black Cross Socks – Listed Value $12.00

The socks are nice quality and thick! I love the pattern as well.

Verdict: With the sale price of the tie, this box came out to have a value of approximately $76.32, which is still outstanding for a $35.00 a month box. All of the products were very high quality, and I love that they included a limited edition product from Tazmaneian Tame.

Have you tried The Menswear Club yet?

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane…the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane…but she’s always looking for a new subscription to try!
