My Tea Bling Swarovski Crystal Charm – Value $17.99

I love this little thing. You clip it to tea bags that don’t have strings/tags (like Celestial Seasonings, or the disposable ones you can fill yourself with loose tea) and then it is easier to retrieve the tea bag. I have already used this quite a lot. I have to say, it can’t be easy to always find new accessories for tea drinkers but I think Tea Box Express has been doing a wonderful job since I’ve been reviewing them.

Nunu Chocolates Solid Dark Chocolate Lollipop – Value $2?

Chocolate is always a win for me. And getting a small amount like this is better for portion control.

Corso’s Cookies/Decorated Cookie Company Fall Cookie – Value $5?

I used to make sugar cookies all the time until I started trying to lose weight. I can’t justify keeping them around. But, I figure it is OK to indulge every now and then (plus this one had calorie information printed on the back). My husband and I split this since it was quite large. It was a little crumbly but it satisfied my sweet tooth nicely. (These leaves weren’t on their site so I used the value of a similar item.)

Pura Agave Packets (Caramel x 3) – Listed Value $2.25

Pura Agave Packets (Pumpkin x 3) – Listed Value $2.25

I actually put these in Crio Bru (brewed cocoa) instead of tea and they took the bitter edge off but you couldn’t really taste the flavors. (I did sample a bit straight from the packets and these are delicious.) I recommend using this in a lighter sort of tea so you can really taste the caramel or pumpkin. (I had a heck of a time finding this item online – search terms were too generic, I guess – so I’ve taken the value from a note to bloggers from Tea Box Express.)

Nunshen Tea Sachets in Chai du Kerala (5 bags) – Value $3.25

Nunshen Tea Sachets in The Oolong Finest (5 bags) – Value $3.25

Last, but not least, the tea. It is less than a week after I received this box that I am writing this, and both teas are completely gone. The chai made my office smell amazing and it never really got too strong (sometimes cinnamon and other spices in tea can become overwhelming). And I liked the oolong as well. I used to think I was not a fan of oolong but I have since become convinced that the first oolong I tried was not good since I have had a lot of great ones since then.  (I recommend not brewing oolong for very long if you are new to it.)

Here is the tea after brewing. I forget which is the oolong and which is the chai but I guess they look about the same…

Verdict: I calculated a value of $35.99 for the November Tea Box Express. That’s a great value for this box. All the brands and items were new to me and I absolutely loved everything in the box (so much so that I don’t have anything left except the Tea Bling clip). The flavors and items were great for late fall. I'm very happy with this month's Tea Box Express!

My teenage son loves tea but we mostly use loose leaf. This might be a fun sub for him but just a bit pricey.

10 tea bags for a $31 box sounds insane. The value of this is crazy overinflated for what they gave you.

Other than the sweetener packets, which are not available separately, those prices up above are what the items are actually selling for (check the links). The total value does come in above the subscription price and do keep in mind that food/drink boxes don’t have the same massive values that beauty boxes do. I personally like this one for the discovery aspect — so many teas I’ve never heard of before (and other related products).

I was hoping for a little more tea. the tea they provided was amazing but they usually give you one or two full boxes of tea that lasts me most of the month. this tea barely lasted a week (I’m also clearly a heavy tea drinker ha!).

I would have really liked this box. That tea charm is such a great idea! Chai tea is definitely one of my faves.
