Scentbird was "born out of frustration with the "perfume graveyard" - expensive bottles of designer perfume collecting dust on your dresser or cabinet - Scentbird was created to provide an alternative that is both practical and exciting." When you subscribe to Scentbird, you'll get a $15.00 "credit" each month to buy a full sized bottle of cologne - this doesn't look like it is cumulative, and seems more like a member's discount.

Scentbird includes a twist up perfume atomizer with your first shipment. You can order additional atomizers on their website for an additional fee.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Scentbird sends out authentic perfume each month in smaller vials for you to try them out, or switch up your scent more often. When you sign up, you fill out a survey to determine your scent preferences, and they recommend specific scents for you to try out. You add perfumes to your queue when you find one that you want to try which is how they choose what to send each month. If you don't choose one by the cut-off date, they will send you the scent of the month. Next month it is Norell Elixir.

This month, my next perfume in the lineup was Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. The notes are apple, cedar, bellflower, Sicilian lemon, white rose, bamboo, jasmine, amber, musk, and cedar. I have long loved this scent...it is so fresh and clean but so much more than just fresh and clean. The notes all work so well together and I am so happy to have a travel size of it!

Verdict: The value of my perfume this month comes out to about $7.84 (based on Scentbird's 3.3oz full-size bottle). This subscription is really dependent on which perfume you choose when it comes to value.  I'm always happiest when I chose scents that I love versus scents that are expensive.

I love the size of these vials because they're perfect for travel or just to throw in your gym bag for a quick spritz when you need it. They're also cheaper than rollerballs, and I prefer spritzes anyway!

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

Just wanted to let everyone know that there is a Facebook group called “scent birdies” that is for scent bird subscribers that would like to talk about their favorite/least favorite scents and also trade scents with other subscribers if they are not very happy with the scent they received . YSL Black opium is my next scent . I’ve heard a lot of feedback on it in the group so I’m pretty excited to try it out .

For me, the ysl smelled super vanilla at first. If you give it about half an hour it smells so much better. I think this is hiw most perfumes are

I love Scentbird. It’s the perfect sub for my husband & me to share. We both love perfumes & colognes (we are that weird couple at the scent counter in Macy’s or Dillard’s, spraying the colognes & perfumes onto cards to take home…lol). We hate how much a full-size bottle costs, plus we both change up our scents quite frequently (me quite a bit more him, I’m a total perfume junkie!), so having a full size bottle is too much. Scentbird is the perfect size at the perfect cost. It allows us to indulge our scent obsessions, w/out breaking our bank account. We trade off months. This month is his & he’s getting Hugo Boss’s The Scent. It is a very full bodied cologne that has amazing staying power. He had a sample spray vial that lasted him nearly a month, b/c one spray lasted nearly the whole day. Of the colognes that he wears, Hugo Boss’s The Scent is my favorite, by far. It has a spicy note that I LOVE. I definitely recommend Scentbird if you dabble in the cologne/perfume world, but don’t want to be tied to an expensive, full size bottle! One scent from this sub can last me months b/c I usually wear a different scent everyday! Perfection!

I got yves st laurent Black Opium. I also ordered Juliette has a gun not a perfume. Yves st laurent smelled okay. It was very heavy on vanilla. It is supposed to have notes of clack tea and patchouli, but I didn’t smell those. It had nice staying power. About six hours and that was with two sprays. The Juliette has a gun perfume smelled a little funky at first. It’s supposed to be a simple perfume and only has one note. I found that if I let it settle for about twenty minutes on my skin that it smells a lot better. It smells nice and clean. It had decent staying power about five hours with just one spray. My only problem with scentbird is that when you purchase a perfume (not the monthly subscription) it is supposed to ship within 48 hours. My perfume took an extra week and three days to ship. Their CS was pretty useless. I emailed a week after i ordered asking for the shipping code. They gave me the one for my monthly. I emailed again reminding them that it was a separate order and asked again what was happening. When it shipped I emailed one final time and asked what took so long. Bobby they’re cs guy just sent me the tracking number. Overall, I like the subscription, however I would never buy anything else from them again.

That’s terrible about their Customer Service department. I would have sought out a supervisor if that happened to me. You deserve a free month for them treating you so poorly! I mean, you are giving them your hard earned $ every month AND you forked over EXTRA cash to them for more product! They treated you very poorly. I would not let that stand. I’m a firm believer in the “customer is always right” addage. I used to phone customer service & I never would have treated you that way. Do they have a phone number on the site? If not, I’d demand one & ask to speak to a supervisor directly. I’m a bit pushy when it comes to this kind of thing, b/c if I’m giving someone $ for something, I expect to be treated with respect & kindness. If I have to contact customer service for a problem, they had better be ready to help me correctly or all holy heck will come raining down!

There’s no number just an email, but it takes forever for them to get back to you initially. I had Bobby all three times. Considering how useless he was, I decided that this wasn’t worth my time. I just called my credit card company and disputed the shipping fee. If they want to charge me shipping and then not ship accordingly, I’m not paying. It would have been one thing if they would have let me know that it was shipping late, but I got nothing.
