LitJoy Crate is a monthly literature and book subscription box for all ages! My favorite part about them is that they send new release books as well as book-themed items. They have crates for ages 0-2 (board books), 3-7 (picture books), and 14+ (young adult). You can also get a mixed crate with 0-2 and 3-7 together.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The founders of LitJoy are passionate about books and literacy. Plus, for every box purchased, they donate a book to people who have none, or to help stock libraries!
The card also lists information and pictures of each item.
The reading tip this month is about teaching children the different seasons.
The back of the card is a little colorable card that you can use as a tool to talk about the differences between seasons to your child.
Dylbug has a ton of really adorable designed plate ware and dining items for kids to help make eating (and eating good things) a little more fun. Their things are cute for sure!
LitJoy Exclusive Fall Sensory Crinkle Toy – Value $3?
These little sensory pieces are handmade by one of LitJoy’s employees! These are way cute.
I think these are a little young for my son to get too much entertainment out of them but he has liked holding onto them in the car (when there’s not much else to do I suppose, lol). I think these are a great idea.
Exclusive “April Showers” Wood Teether from Little Sapling Toys – Value $12.95?
I love this brand – everything from them is so cute! However my toddler has quite a few teeth and is currently working on his upper molars, so this disk won’t work for him for teething since it would be better for a baby getting some of their front teeth. I may gift this or save it for the next kid someday.
Pink Beehive Cotton Candy – Value $3.50?
Cotton Candy! What a brilliant treat to send in a subscription box. I loved this. I have a shameless sweet tooth and this was such a fun thing to unpack. (FYI – this was the “parent gift” included in the box.)
Winter Bear Baby Beanie – Value $9.99?
This hat is so cute! I love the geometric design and the bears in the print. I tried putting this on my son to snap a pic but he wasn’t having it. I’m really not sure if I’m going to be able to get him to wear any hats this winter, now that he’s old enough to have opinions about things like that. I’m determined to keep trying, though. Also, from the split second it was on his head I thought this may be a smidge tight, but I wasn’t able to play with it or look at it on him at all… and my son has a huge head, so there’s that too. I love that they sent this.
Fairy Friends: A Seasons Primer – Value $8.22 on Amazon (retail price $9.99)
This book is beautiful! It is made with realistic photos (like real leaves and flowers) in addition to illustrations to create the pictures in the books. This book is all about seasons but they have lots of other versions of books, including colors, opposites, and counting.
I just love these pictures. I could look at these for quite some time before ever growing bored of them – so pretty!
Will You Be My Sunshine – Value $9.99
I actually already have this book from a gift at my baby shower and it is one of my favorites, so I’m so excited to have a new copy to pass on to someone else at her baby shower. This book is so sweet, and the illustrations are beautiful.
Here’s a peek at the inside of the book. I love the little mice!
Verdict: I may dislike the weather getting colder but I sure feel like the prime season for the best subscription boxes is the Fall. This is quite possibly my favorite LitJoy box I’ve ever received. I really love the book selections, the hat, and cotton candy especially. They included so many great quality that I feel like I wouldn’t have necessarily expected, nor have I really seen before in other boxes (like those sensory leaves or cotton candy). I’m really happy with the curation of this box. The value (based on my estimates) adds up to ~$49. I’m happy with that, too!
