The information card included a list of items in the box. They included values and I have used a lot of these below because KitNipBox toys can be hard to find for sale online.

kitnipbox-november-2016-treats

Smart ‘n Tasty Turducky Dental Treats (3 oz) – Value $3.99

Dental treats are usually hard but that doesn’t stop my cats from liking them. We’ve received this brand in other cat subscription boxes, but I think in different flavors. You can see Sneaky, Monkey, and Madison enjoying them below.

kitnipbox-november-2016-feathers

Safemade Leopard Wand – Listed Value $6

I think this was the highlight of the box. Dangly things with feathers usually are. Even Mr. Kitty played with it. (Safemade toys are hard to find online so I’ve used the value from the information card.)

Pet Zone Feathered Frenzy Instinct Toy – Value $7.26

This was not a new discovery for us; we’ve received these in other cat boxes. But, I feel like the feathers were more secure in this one than in similar toys we’ve received in the past. And of course, feathers are always popular at my house.

Safemade Rat-ta-tat-cat Rollers – Listed Value $3

Monkey is about the only cat who likes to play with ball toys and he did enjoy these. He batted them all over the living room (where we have a hardwood floor with no rug). They rattled, which made them even better.

Kitty Hoots Fluff-o-Rama – Value $12.76

Toys from this brand are always super popular (especially with Monkey) and here you get not one, but three. There is something about the canvas texture that Monkey really likes, and these are about the right size for my guys (and girl) to enjoy.

Leap Crinkle Geek Cat – Listed Value $7

My cats are not so into the larger kicker or wrestler type toys. However, I am almost at my weight loss goal so hopefully there will be a new kitten around soon. (I can’t usually find Leap toys online either, so again the value is from the information card.)

Cat photo time!

Madison sniffs a treat. He did eat this, plus a few more.

I was taking pictures of something else and turned around and saw this.

And, I couldn’t believe this, but Mr. Kitty played with a toy!

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $40 for the November KitNipBox. This is a pretty good value for this box. My cats liked almost everything and the leopard feather thing was especially popular (as I knew it would be). Sometimes KitNip Box toys are a bit hard to find online, but that is part of the value of the subscription, I think – you get toys that are maybe a little different than what you would see in other cat subscriptions.

It makes me really happy to see that Mr. Kitty was playing! I know he often doesn’t feel well so I hope that is a sign that he is feeling better these days. 🙂

It makes me happy, too!

His glaucoma is under control now (with drops) and his eye ulcers are almost all healed. He is eating pretty well, even without the appetite stimulant (we discontinued that in August). He will always be on prednisolone and he is getting older but he’s had a lot of good days lately.
