This month, Ivory Clasp sent an invoice in the box. This is a very simply packaged subscription box - the purse comes in a non-marked box, and there are very few accouterments!
When you sign up for your account, you do a full survey to give them an idea of what bags you would most like and offer a phone consultation as well.
Maison Du Sac Paris - Madeline Small Satchel - $118.00
For my third month of Ivory Clasp, I received a faux leather bag from Maison Du Sac. This bag is made from 'vegan' leather (I guess that just sounds classier than faux leather...) with gold accents. The front has a removable hang tag with a locket along with the brand name. The bag also comes with a crossbody strap, which is nice, since the handles of the satchel are pretty short.
The back has a zippered pouch that I used to hold my iPhone 6S.
Here's everything I was able to fit in my bag for church one evening: my Bible, sunglasses, wallet, keys, Clarins Lip Oil, Clarins Hand and Nail treatment, and a pen.
I love the different texture of the purse from my shoes. It matches without being super matchy-matchy.
Here's the details picture: I wore this with a black pencil skirt, my Boden Striped and Dot tee, LK Bennett heels and an orangey-red car coat.
Verdict: The purse I received this month was worth $73.00 more than what I paid for the box. I do want to note that Ivory Clasp has removed any reference to the designer bags that they mentioned when they first launched - their FAQ page states that they have 'partnerships' with big brands. I think the thing to note here is that you're likely getting a quality purse but without a recognizable, big-name brand.
This purse isn't a style that I would have chosen for myself, but I did end up liking it for an occasional swap out!
