The Glamorous Chicks Beauty Box is a monthly subscription box from Glamorous Chicks Cosmetics, producers of lots of fun colors of lipstick, loose powder pigments, cosmetic glitter, and more, in lots of fun, bold, and sometimes unconventional colors.
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)
The Subscription Box: Glamorous Chicks Beauty Box
The Cost: $25 (new price) Save with longer subscriptions
Good to Know: A week or two before the box ships out, you will get an e-mail allowing you to choose three items from among lipsticks, lip glosses, mascaras, loose powder pigments, and glitters. Be on the lookout for this and be sure to respond in a timely manner as the box will be much more customized to your taste if you do. (They may substitute if something is out of stock, but the substitutions they have chosen are really super close to what I originally picked, so I am happy.) This email doesn’t come at a consistent time every month, though.
The Products: 3 Glamorous Chicks beauty products of your choice, including loose mineral pigments, liquid lipsticks, loose glitter, and more, as well as a few extras (sometimes from other brands). Occasionally there may be products from up-and-coming brands, as well.
Ships to: US (free)

There isn’t a regular information card with this box, but it does usually come with this glossy, full-color card showcasing some of the Glamorous Chicks lipstick colors. It includes a coupon code for purchases in their shop.
Glamorous Chicks Liquid Lipstick in Midnight Black (full size) – Value $16.99
This was one of my selections for the month. Sometimes I try to go for super wearable shades but sometimes I choose off-the-wall colors to give MSA readers an idea of the range this company has to offer. I find the formula a little bit drying (this is true of most liquid lipsticks, though) so you may want to pair with a balm or gloss. (These lipsticks are so long-lasting they can be difficult to remove.)
Glamorous Chicks Lipstick in Gum Drop (full size) – Value $14.99
This was one of the month’s “extras” (you get some products of your choice and Glamorous Chicks selects a few others). I am not sure I want bright purple lips but I think this would look really nice layered over a dark red lip stain. I find these (non-liquid) lipsticks to have a wonderful, moisturizing, long-lasting formula.
Cosmetic Glitter in Hot Pink (full size) – Value $14.95
This was another chosen item for the month. I’m not sure I can pull it off as eyeshadow, but I like to do bold manicures on occasion and this will work well there. If you want some more subtle colors for your glitter, Glamorous Chicks has those too (or you can avoid glitter and pick all lipstick – it’s up to you).
Shimmer Powder in Water Lily (full size) – Value $14.95
I’ve been interested in warm colors and reds for eyeshadow lately so I chose this. I do suggest a good primer because it’s loose (but thankfully there is a built-in sifter that works well). I think this has a nice formula for a loose shadow.
Shea Moisture Superfruit Complex 10-in-1 Renewal System Hair Masque (30 mL) – Value $1.09
I love Shea Moisture conditioners. I tend to get really dry hair and try to use hair masks at least twice a week. This was enough for two uses for me so I clipped the packet closed again and will use the rest in a few days. I feel like this did a great job at softening my hair and making it less dry. (It is SO dry here right now.) Next time I am in the market for a hair mask, I would definitely consider a full-size purchase of this one.
Absolute! Make-Up Cleansing Tissues with Vitamin C Extract (10 ct) – Value $1
This brand is new to me but I can always use more wipes. And I love skincare with antioxidants like vitamin C in it. I thought these did a reasonable job on eye makeup although I did have follow up with some micellar water to remove the remnants of my mascara after cleansing my face. (But, this is true of pretty much every wipe I’ve ever tried.)
Here are swatches of this month’s products. From top to bottom: cosmetic glitter in “hot pink” (no primer, hence the uneven coverage; I suggest Too Faced Glitter Glue or using this product in manicures); shimmer powder in “water lily,” lipstick in “gum drop,” and liquid lipstick in “midnight black.”
Verdict: I calculated a value of about $63.97 for this month’s Glamorous Chicks Beauty Box. Your value may differ a little depending on the products you choose when you responded to the selection email. (But, on the other hand, you are getting items you chose in colors you chose, so there is a lot less risk!) This is a little higher than average for this subscription and more than twice the cost of the box. If you are interested in bold makeup colors and/or would shop for items from the Glamorous Chicks Cosmetics shop regularly anyway, this subscription can be a great way to stretch your dollar a little further.
Also, for what it’s worth, they’ve changed their subscription site and it loads a lot faster now!
