Each box comes with an info card discussing the theme for the month and the items included. This month they aimed to send items that help you adopt a natural lifestyle (which often means trying new products with unfamiliar ingredients).

Weleda White Mallow Diaper Rash Cream – 1.9 oz, Value $15

I love this cream! It’s made especially for highly sensitive skin and to instantly relieve skin irritation. It has white mallow extract to soothe and coconut oil to moisturize, and sesame oil to nourish and help heal skin.

Zatik Dragon’s Blood Cleansing Gel Face Rinse – 1.7 fl oz, Value $20

This cleanser is made with fresh, raw botanicals from USDA-certified organic farms. It also is free of preservatives, parabens, synthetic ingredients, and artificial colors or fragrances. This cleanser is best for normal to oily skin but I used this without it drying out my face. It’s very gentle – perfect for sensitive skin.

Shea Moisture Raw Shea Cupuacu Mommy Soothing Nursing Balm – 2 oz, Value $14.99

This is an item that isn’t relevant to me now that my son is 14 months, but it’s one of my favorite mommy/baby brands! This has great reviews so I’m planning to gift it at a baby shower!

Oilogic Stuffy Nose & Cough Essential Roll-On - 0.45 fl oz, Value $9.99

I love this brand and was excited to see it here! This product literally couldn’t have come at a better time. Both my son and I have been really sick the past couple weeks with bad colds and I’ve had (have) a lingering cough from it. This has been a big help!

I like essential oils, particularly for the aromatherapy/fragrance aspects, but I know for sure that most blends made to help clear congestion work for me and my family because they have that almost menthol smell thanks to the Eucalyptus and Tea Tree oils in most of them.

Wiggly, Jiggly, Wigglasaurus Finger Puppet Board Book – Value $6.99

So, my info card lists baby milestone stickers (which are definitely too young for us) instead of this, but when I reached out to their customer service they said I received a correct box for an older baby just an incorrect info card.

Anyways – this book is amazing! My son has become obsessed with puppets and finger puppets lately and when I read him this book and make the dinosaur wiggle he cracks up giggling. I love it!

It’s way cute. This is a new favorite in my house!

Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Provence Lavender Baby Nighttime Soothing Shampoo & Bath Milk and Lotion – 10 ml packets each, Value $0.65

Yes, they’re sample packets which can be annoying but these are actually a larger size than most – they’re nice little pouches with a good amount of product in them. These smell amazing. I love pairing together matching shampoo and lotions from this brand because they all smell great and the smell lingers for a couple days!

Shea Moisture Raw Shea, Chamomile, and Argan Oil Baby Wash & Shampoo and Lotion – 10 ml packets each, Value $0.60

This scent/formula is actually one I have had full sizes of both these products together and I love it. The chamomile (plus Frankincense and Myrrh) just smell so good. A little sweet, but a perfect baby smell.

EcoTrek Fitness Whole Food Bar in Dark Chocolate Toasted Coconut – 1.76 oz, Value $2.29

This bar is vegan, dairy-free, and gluten-free. It looks like this brand is mostly sold in Michigan which is pretty cool to me!  This bar was pretty good, but I don’t care for coconut myself. I like trying new snacks and such from boxes.

David’s Premium Natural Toothpaste – 5.25 oz Value $7.95

Wow, this is a big tube of toothpaste! And it’s one of those nice metal tubes so it feels really fancy. I love that they include a little metal key with which to neatly roll the end of the tube. I love this toothpaste. The texture and taste are great and my mouth felt clean and fresh after using this. I also really like that it’s whitening – for me, at least, it can be hard to find a nice natural toothpaste that also whitens.

Verdict: I really loved the October Ecocentric Mom box! It was one of the best for me in a couple months. I loved seeing some favorite brands in here and I found a few new awesome favorites, too. The value this month adds up to $78.41 which is fantastic for a $25 box. I love that every month I know I’m going to find some new products I absolutely love and I can trust the ingredients will be green/organic/healthy.

I am obsessed with the Shea Moisture Manuka Honey & Provence Lavender stuff that came in the Target Baby Box. I probably will not be able to resist buying that lotion, either… they just smell way too good.

For the above commenter – I used Earth Angel brand balm and agree with Haley, it was awesome for chapped lips!

I got the same box but a puppy book. My eight month old loves it, she grabs it and pets it and gives it a kiss. We just stopped nursing last week but hopefully I can gift the balm. I still have plenty of balm already opened, anyone have other uses for it? I am really enjoying this box.

Jessica, that kind of balm makes a great general healing balm. Use it on scrapes and cuts and rough patches of skin, etc. 🙂 I also use it on my son’s lips when they’re chapped.
