BuffBoxx is a fitness subscription box for men or women. All products are premium and name brand, and a portion of each box sold goes to charity (you can choose one of the several charities at sign-up).

The box included sample eating plans for men and women. (No, men and women don’t have to eat different things, but on average, men require more calories than women do. I’m a vegetarian so I didn’t follow the plan for women, plus I’m shorter, older, and I weigh less and exercise more than the sample person. But this is a really good example if you are new to counting calories.) There was also a chest and triceps workout that I can try in my home gym and a WOD if you are interested.
There was also a more traditional information card. There is some customization in this box so not everyone will receive the same products. But a few items are highlighted.
There was also a coupon and a card encouraging you to share on social media.
Goodwipes Deodorizing Body Wipes for Women (2) – Total Value $1.60
I am putting these in my purse. There are times when I am out and about (like climbing the stairs to my 8th floor office) that I worry I get a little too hot, and I will be able to use these to refresh myself if needed.
Buffboxx Koozy – Value $3?
Lots of boxes throw in promotional material. I’m OK with a little bit of it every now and then. This one is work appropriate, which I cannot say for every koozy I’ve received in a subscription box.
Cellucor Whey Protein in Molten Chocolate (1 serving) – Value $1.15
Cellucor Whey Protein in Whipped Vanilla (1 serving) – Value $1.07
Whey protein is my favorite kind of protein powder because I find it blends/dissolves better. There is a fairly extensive survey you take when you sign up for Buffboxx that asks about dietary restrictions (“vegetarian” was not on the list but “vegan” was, as was “other,” so I chose “other” and specified that I was vegetarian and that dairy was fine). You are also asked about your favorite flavors.
Anyway, I started making smoothies awhile back to use up all the protein and other powders I get in subscription boxes and that is how I used these. This brand is new to me and I liked the flavors of both the vanilla and the chocolate.
PB2 (0.85 oz) – Value $0.69
I’m always happy to get a sample of something I regularly buy anyway. I put PB2 in my smoothies and my husband puts it in his oatmeal and I order it a pound at a time from Amazon.
Chocolate PB2 (0.85 oz) – Value $0.69
I don’t think I’ve ever had the chocolate flavored PB2 before now, but of course I love it. I am a huge fan of both peanut butter and chocolate so this was another win.
PBThins (0.81 oz) – Value $0.50
I received these in the November Love with Food Deluxe box, as well, and I think they are pretty good. (I specified peanut butter as a favorite flavor. If you have a nut allergy, be sure to mention that and you should get something else instead.)
Merkury Innovations Bluetooth “Lift” Wireless Earbuds – Value $39.99
I can totally see the appeal of a product like this if you work out at a gym and have a smartphone. You don’t want cords to trip you up or get in the way or otherwise cause a safety hazard, but music can be a great energizer for many different types of workouts. I will be passing these on to a gym-loving relative since I work out in my basement (where I can blast whatever loud music I want) and don’t own a smartphone. (I am fully aware I am in the minority here…)
Women’s BuffBoxx Tank – Value $19.99
You can opt to add a BuffBoxx shirt to your Full-Size order for $19.99 (it is automatically included in the BuffBoxx Lite box). This is the added-on tank I received (and for men, there is a short-sleeved shirt instead). I also don’t mind this as a promotional item because it is useful and because you can opt to add it or not, the choice is totally up to you.
Reebok Speedwick Logo Leggings – Value $40 (currently on sale for $29.99)
These had a price tag attached but it matched the Macy’s price. Anyway, I am so happy about these. After losing 43 pounds this year, all the workout pants I started the year with are too big and I am finding myself having to replace my collection. So anyone who sends me workout pants is good with me. Plus, you just don’t see workout pants very often in fitness subscription boxes (unless it is a box like Fabletics).
Verdict: I calculated a value of $98.67 for the November BuffBoxx. (Without the shirt, you get about $78.68, which is still a fair amount above the cost of the box.) I’m happy with all the samples I received and I’m especially happy with getting name brand workout pants.
What did you think of the November BuffBoxx? Do you subscribe to any fitness, weight loss, or workout subscriptions?
