ZenBox by Jen sends a paper outlining the box items. I appreciate this information as it helps me know if anything is missing and how to find items I’d like to purchase again.
Bare Cinnamon Apple Chips (0.53oz) - Value $1.00
I put these chips (made from only apples and cinnamon) in my daughter’s lunch bag and she loved them.
Yogi Tea Chai Rooibos (2 tea bags) - Total Value $0.62
I’m a huge Yogi tea fan. I literally want to marry their Bedtime tea but you can never go wrong with chai either.
Good Earth Sweet and Spicy Tea (2 tea bags) - Total Value $0.50
When I looked, this tea was out of stock on the Good Earth website and I can tell you why after having a cup. It is delicious! I actually buy a much more expensive tea that tastes almost exactly like this so I will now switch over to this brand. The name is perfectly descriptive as this tea is both sweet and spicy but adjust your brew time if you need a less flavorful taste. This is a full bodied tea which is the only kind I will drink!
Cabin in the Woods Essential Oil Spray - Value?
This essential oil spray is called “Cabin in the Woods.” It has cardamom, cedarleaf, cedarwood, fir needle, patchouli, sandalwood and Himalayn cedarwood. It really does smell very woodsy and I love it! It is the perfect winter month scent.
Door Knob Décor with Quote - Value?
Jen says, “…the idea behind this quote is to remember to be mindful and slow down and appreciate the little moments in life, because just like the leaves in the summer, they will be gone in a flash.” I think we all need to do more of this in life – I certainly do.
Homemade potpourri - Value?
I could smell this potpourri before I even opened the box- which, of course, made opening the box even better! I haven’t used potpourri in years but I put this in the guest bathroom and smile every time I smell it.
Verdict: I think ZenBox by Jen is a delightful box full of heart and love! I appreciate that Jen is trying to help others bring self-care and calm into their lives. On the ZenBox by Jen website, Jen writes about her personal struggles and how essential oils, teas, and regular meditation have helped her. I’ve sampled several different smaller subscription boxes now and I’d much rather receive homemade interesting items then cheap, bulk items. I probably won’t use the door knob décor for long but I did hang it and am trying to count my blessings when I see it. I like and am using everything else in the box. To me, that makes this box a winner! As for the value, I feel $22.50 which includes shipping is definitely fair for what I received.
