Trendy Butler is a men’s apparel subscription. They send out quality items from both brands you know as well as up-and-coming brands. Every delivery is guaranteed to have at least $150+ in value.

If you’re not familiar with Trendy Butler, here’s how it works: You take a style quiz, and you get a box of 1-3 menswear items to keep! This is not a shopping service like Stitch Fix where you pay for whatever items you don’t send back – it’s just $65, and whatever they send is yours forever.

Thomas Payne Jackson Long Sleeve Shirt – Value $95

(FYI – I can’t find this specific shirt on their website, but it came with a tag with MSRP $95.)

This shirt is nice! The fabric is a thick, quality material, but Luke didn’t care for how stiff it was… I’m sure that will likely lighten up with washing/care. It fit pretty well, but Luke might prefer a size up. I think this size looks really nice on him but he felt it was restricting. All in all, a really nice quality shirt. However, the pattern is much more bold/preppy than Luke prefers to wear so I’m not sure if I’ll manage to get him to actually wear this shirt. I’ll sure try, though – sometimes Luke just needs a few nudges to try something out of his comfort zone!

Taylor Vintage Indigo Red Loop Terry Crew Neck – Value $109

This shirt, on the other hand, is a perfect win! I adore the color and the fit is perfect on Luke. The red stitching (and interior) are a great complimentary detail. This shirt is pre-washed so it feels a little “worn in” and is definitely comfortable. I love this on him and can’t wait for him to get lots of use out of it this Fall/Winter!

Verdict: Luke and I are both happy with this month’s Trendy Butler delivery. I know the button up shirt is out of his comfort zone/general style but I think it’s good to try things from styling services you wouldn’t typically pick for yourself. The value adds up to $204, which is really awesome for a $65 subscription! I’d have to say that for this subscription if you would spend $65 or more (the cost of the box) on the items you get, it’s a win. And this is a win for us! It feels great to have my husband get and wear high-quality menswear from this subscription.

  1. Oh I adore both of these pieces! He looks fantastic in them, too. Might just have to get my hubby a sub if this is typical of what they send. Thanks for the review!
