I really am enjoying this subscription. The brands and products they include are new to me, they have great curation and balance between salty and sweet, and I don't have to worry about eating a ton of empty calories. This is definitely a great 'better for you' snack box. I really like that they sometimes include coupons, and they always have an information card.

Fru-licious Fruit Ice Pops - Value $0.63

Fru-licious has smoothie pops, which I've tried in the past, and ice pops. I received the blueberry honey flavored and blood orange ginger. I really enjoyed these. They are the grown-up version of Otter Pops, which I loved as a kid!

Peach Mango Drink Mix by Everly - Value $3.50

This peach mango drink has caffeine in it and is all-natural, sugar-free, and zero calorie. You simply dissolve this into water, stir, and drink! I enjoyed the flavor of this and I think this would be a great drink for pre-gym if you don't take a pre-workout.

Biscottea Traditional Teatime Shortbread - Value $0.60

Shortbread always goes well with tea or coffee, so I love that this brand is called Biscottea! I really enjoyed these shortbread cookies - they were delicious.

Kate's Real Food - Grizzly Bites - Peanut Butter Dark Chocolate - Value $1.79

These bites were really good. The dark chocolate paired with the peanut butter really well.

Skout - Almond Blueberry Trail Bar - Value $2.37

This trail bar has a non-intimidating ingredient list and was really delicious. I loved the blueberry almond flavor.

snack-sack-september-2016-hippeas-popcorn

Hippeas - Vegan White Cheddar Chickpea Puffs - Value $1.28

These chickpea puffs are organic and vegan. They are high in fiber and protein and are also gluten free. These would be a great snack for anyone.

These were really delicious!

Crunchy Rob's Pineapple Habanero Popcorn - Value $0.60

This popcorn was sweeter than I expected. The habanero didn't come through as strongly as I would have liked and the pineapple was definitely present. Overall, the flavor was good but I would have appreciated more salt and heat.

Mrs. Thinsters Cookie Thins - Deliciously Crunchy Chocolate Chip - Value $1.08

If you've never had Cookie Thins...you need to go buy some. They are delicious! They are crisp, sweet, and chocolatey, with just the right amount of that caramelized cookie flavor.

Vintage Italia Veggie Pasta Chips - Spinach-Broccoli-Kale - Value $0.70

I wasn't a huge fan of these. They were very healthy tasting...I could taste the spinach and the kale strongly. I think these could be upgraded with the addition of some basil.

Also pictured are the Everly Peach Mango mix packets that I reviewed above!

snack-sack-september-2016-luna-tasty

Luna Chocolate Peanut Butter Mini Bar - Value $3.64

These protein bars are the mini version of the full-size Luna bar. I couldn't find the minis anywhere online! These are packed with protein, gluten free and low glycemic. They also have calcium, iron, folic acid, and vitamin D packed inside. I am not a huge fan of the texture but the flavor is pretty good!

Vanilla Cookies - Tasty Brand - Value $0.50

These were really good. They are just a good, basic, crunchy vanilla cookie. They would go great with tea or in a child's lunch box for a quick snack!

Verdict: The value of this SnackSack is about $16.69...which is really disappointing. With the box charge being about $8 more than the value, this is a really poor value box. I did enjoy most of the treats inside but I've been noticing that the value of this subscription has been sliding in the past few months. Hopefully, they pick it up a bit!

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

I have also been very underwhelmed by this subscription. I usually like about 50% of the items. I got this on the really great 50% off deal, so I guess I’m getting what I paid for…but, I feel badly for anyone who paid full price. Will not be renewing this when my 6-month sub is up…
