Sew Sampler includes a block ‘recipe’ card for a quilt each month. They put it this way:  “Each month you will also receive a Block Recipe to make a quilt block with three size options; 8”, 12” and 16”. Collect all twelve of the recipe cards plus a bonus card with instructions for putting them all together in an adorable quilt! We even have a special fat quarter bundle available for these blocks.”

Here’s the beginning of my quilt block for September!

‘Create’ Zipper Bag – Bonus Item – Value $2.98

This little bag is perfect for stashing a sewing kit in your purse or using for other small, loose items. It is made with heavy canvas and I love the color – it matches the box. The pouch measures 6 x 7.5, so it is a nice size too!

Clover White Seam Ripper – Value $4.48

Any experienced seamstress knows the importance of a good seam ripper. We’ve all had those moments where we rue our existence and have to pull out the entire seam of a garment or quilt. This one is easy to grip and sharp enough to get the job done!

Sweet Orchard Rolie Polie – Down Grapevine Lane for Riley Blake Designs – Value $21.48

The colors in this rolie polie are gorgeous. It’s like one last ditch effort to hold on to summer, with the mix of floral, fruity fabric and the stripes, dots, and script fabrics. These are precut into (21) 2.5″ x 42″ strips.

Exclusive Twirling Flowers Pattern – Value $15?

This pattern is designed for use with your rolie polie and some background fabrics. The finished size of the quilt is 39.5″ x 48.5″.

Custom Fat Quarter Shop Aqua Ruler Pal by Pleasant Home – Value $12.98

This ruler pal is perfect for collecting and storing your rulers and grids. It measures 7.5 inches by 4.75 inches. The color is also the standard Fat Quarter Shop teal/blue, which I love!

Small Spool Holder by June Tailor – Value $8.48

This spool holder will hold up to 16 small spools of thread. It is made of hardwood, and stands up on flip out legs. You can also hang it on the wall. This is the perfect desk accessory for my sewing table!

Verdict: This month’s shipment from Fat Quarter Shop is valued at approximately $65.40. I think they always hit it out of the park with their Sew Sampler – it’s always a mixture of high-quality, useful and fun items. This month was no different – I loved it!

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane…the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane…but she’s always looking for a new subscription to try!
