Scentbird was "born out of frustration with the "perfume graveyard" - expensive bottles of designer perfume collecting dust on your dresser or cabinet - Scentbird was created to provide an alternative that is both practical and exciting." When you subscribe to Scentbird, you'll get a $15.00 "credit" each month to buy a full sized bottle of cologne - this doesn't look like it is cumulative, and seems more like a member's discount.

Scentbird includes a twist up perfume atomizer with your first shipment. You can order additional atomizers on their website for an additional fee.

This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Scentbird sends out authentic perfume each month in smaller vials for you to try them out, or switch up your scent more often. They have also started including a little booklet with some other suggested perfumes and short descriptions as well. I like this addition!

When you sign up, you fill out a survey to determine your scent preferences, and they recommend specific scents for you to try out. You add perfumes to your queue when you find one that you want to try which is how they choose what to send each month. If you don't choose one by the cut-off date, they will send you the scent of the month. Next month it is Commodity Gold.

This month, my next perfume in the lineup was La Perla J'aime les Fleurs. The notes are violet leaf, grapefruit, apple, peony, mandarin zest and delicate freesia flowers.

When I first sprayed this on, I definitely got 'hairspray' vibes. It was very heavy on the alcohol scent at first sniff. As it settled I did like it more, though. It's light and fresh smelling. This is definitely a scent that I would use during the warmer months!

Verdict: The value of my perfume this month comes out to $7.56 (based on Scentbird's 3.4oz full-size bottle). This subscription is really dependent on which perfume you choose when it comes to value. I'm always happiest when I chose scents that I love versus scents that are expensive.

I love the size of these vials because they're perfect for travel or just to throw in your gym bag for a quick spritz when you need it. They're also cheaper than rollerballs, and I prefer spritzes anyway!

Have you tried Scentbird yet? What scent did you get this month?

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane...the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane...but she's always looking for a new subscription to try!

I want to love scentbird. I ordered another perfume (separate from my subscription) It said it would ship within 48 hours. I ordered it last week on monday. It shipped on wednesday exactly a week late. I emailed them and I just got a response. Bobby from their CS sent my my tracking number and said its on its way. They completely ignored my questions on why it took so long. Not happy at all with them

I’m considering quitting Scentbird after almost a year. Two different times, I got a scent that wasn’t even in my queue (my account said I was receiving a scent in my queue, but what I got wasn’t what was listed). This month, it happened again, but my account actually listed the scent I received. I got a Norell scent that smells a mix if masculine and grandmotherly (I can’t decide which). It definitely wasn’t in my queue and I won’t be wearing it. The scent just happened to also be the recommended scent of the month, so I’m wondering if that’s why they decided to send it??? Either way, this very well could be my last month with Scentbird.

There is a Scentbird fan group on Facebook called Scentbirdies where people can ask questions about scents, trade scents they didn’t like, and some people even post about perfume sales other places. It’s been great and informative for helping me decide on which scents to choose. Luckily I have liked all the ones I have received so far.

I will have to check out that group, thanks! Last month I picked Juliette Has a Gun and I hated it, actually had to throw it away because I couldn’t stand it at all. This month I got Gold and love it.

I picked Juliette has a gun Gentlewoman, and it was ok at first kind of. But then really reminded me of a Grandma perfume lol. For October I picked Malin + Goetz Bergamot and LOVE it!!! If only a full bottle weren’t $150 lol.
