Purple Rain Lavender Soap – Value about $9.99 (based on other Saffron soaps)
I could smell this fragrant soap the moment I opened the box! Thing’s I love about this soap 1) the name (I miss you, Prince!), 2) the lush, relaxing lavender scent, and 3) the gorgeous amethyst color. What I didn’t get so much was the dried lavender sprinkled over the top of the soap. I’m sure it’s lending to the dreamy fragrance, but in practice, it just washes off and gets stuck in my sink drain!
Ember Black Soap – Value $9.99
I was instantly intrigued by the deep blackberry scent of this soap. It comes packaged in this cute box, which is covered with word art on the inside. The soap is black with subtle purple-ish swirls running through it. It’s really beautiful, actually. I’ve heard about the cleansing power of charcoal soaps, and while I didn’t notice anything in particular while washing my hands with it, I’m eager to see what this soap can do for my face and more breakout-prone skin.
Verdict: Saffron is a fun way to fill your home with exciting new fragrances of soap. I haven’t noticed much of a difference in the lather or the way these soaps make my hands feel (in comparison to other soaps). But for less than the $20.00 value of the box, you can explore some really exciting new fragrances and combinations each month. (The smell alone is worth it!)
