My package arrived two business days after receiving their shipping email.

The box includes a prepaid return label (make sure to keep this and the original packaging for returns), a few cards, and a slip that details what I received in this set.

For October, I told my stylist that I wanted to wear a set to my alma mater's homecoming. She obliged me with a fun, wearable trio.

Slate Cher Choker Necklace - $49 (Cost to Keep: $41)

I have been following the rebirth of the choker trend for months. Now that it is out in full force I'm so happy to be able to try it from Rocksbox. This one from Slate is a more modern iteration, one that I think will be versatile for all sorts of outfits and occasions.

This choker necklace is gold plated over brass. It's a very well made piece with flat links, which gives it a smooth, uniform look when worn.

Kendra Scott Warren Ring Set in Rose Gold - $75 (Cost to Keep: $63)

These rings are 14K rose gold plated over brass with rose gold druzy. They can be stacked on one finger or worn on both hands or however you like!

I love how the bands have a "rough" look to them rather than that typical round, polished surface. I'm so in love with this set.

Kendra Scott Candice Cuff in Silver - $75 (Cost to Keep: $63)

This is a gorgeous open cuff. It is rhodium plated over brass. I'm surprisingly fond of the two-tone metal.

The bracelet comes with a couple of inserts. The cuff is adjustable, which I love because I'm all about ensuring my bracelets are secure on my wrist.

The filigree design is killer! I fall more and more in love with Kendra Scott with every new piece. Out of the three pieces, this one is my favorite.

I wore everything to my alma mater's homecoming ball. Sorry about the weird lighting.

I was originally unsure about mixing gold, rose gold, and silver tones together. However, it turned out pretty well. I received several compliments on the bracelet in particular. It's definitely a statement piece.

The thing about choker necklaces made of chains is they can be a bit stifling. I could only wear it at the base of my neck without feeling uncomfortable. I paired it with my own velvet ribbon choker and loved the result.

Verdict: I had another fantastic month of Rocksbox. My favorite piece is the Kendra Scott bracelet. Even though I don't wear enough bracelets to justify keeping it, I enjoyed every second of wear. Even though I like to wear delicate, minimalist jewelry, I am still open to trying new styles. Rocksbox has been amazing with helping me with that. For example, I learned that mixing metal tones doesn't always lead to a fashion disaster!

I did notice that sometimes it takes a bit of navigating to find details, such as length and metal composition, about each piece on the Rocksbox website. The info card isn't very helpful in that department either. It was easy to find the Kendra Scott pieces on their own website, but I had little luck with the Slate choker. Rocksbox has made great improvements to their current site; next, I think they can focus on consolidating information on their jewelry pieces.

UPDATE: Rocksbox let us know they've updated their product details pages and made them directly accessible from the "leave feedback" page on the website. This should help in finding details on the pieces received!

I was unhappy with my rocksbox. I tried the free trial of the first rockboxs you receive thinking I wasn’t going to get charged just for trying it out like the website said. I filled out all the questions and picked jewelry I liked when I signed up and when I got my package shipped there was no pieces that I liked. It didn’t match anything that I picked. I wasn’t too worried about it though because I was under the impression I wouldn’t be charged until I tried a new second rocksbox. I didn’t take any of the jewelry out of the package or anything and everything is like how it was sent to me and I’ve been trying to find time from work to send back the package but then I noticed I did get charged for my first rocksbox and was upset because I didn’t even wear any of the jewelry and I’m sending it back before the month is even finished. I called customer service and they weren’t much help. I asked for a partial refund and to cancel my membership because I was getting no help. They did not give me a partial refund and they only way to even get back half my money from the first month would be to try another month and spend an extra 19$ on top of that. It would be putting more money into something I’m not fully happy with. Hopefully other experiences are better for other jewelry lovers!

I have been a subscriber for several months now, and am pretty happy. I have purchased 4 pieces so far. Their member prices are great and you get a $10 credit every month for your $19/mo fee, add to that free shipping and no tax. The down side for me, was that in 7 boxes I received the same 3 pair of Kendra Scott earrings…mind you in different finishes. And in deference to them, of the 4 pieces I purchase 2 were Kendra Scott. I just don’t think that the “Stylists” pay attention to anything more than the last box you received and your last feedback.

The jewelry is really pretty and looks great on you. But, it seems somewhat pricey for gold plated over brass. Plated over sterling silver would be worth those prices, imo. But not brass.

I’ve been coveting that Kendra Scott bracelet for quite awhile! I’ve had no luck swapping for it so I’ve been stalking ebay but just haven’t committed yet. Your selections look great on you!!

Thank you KKH! 🙂

I subscribe and Iove it. Turn around time for me is about 2-3 days. I’m sure they at least wipe down the earrings/etc. I can’t believe they’d just repackage them and mail to the next person….

I’m considering trying this subscription, does anyone have any pros or cons I should consider?

I love this sub. I’ve been subscribing for about five months. At first the turnaround was kind of slow, but now I usually have new stuff 3-4 days after I mail the jewelry back to them. They are very good at sending items on my wishlist so I recommend updating that often.

Hi Michelle, the only con (but a major one in my opinion) is that it’s quite unsanitary. You never know how many people wore the jewelry before you. If it doesn’t bother you, then I’d say go for it, the idea is pretty unique and you get to wear different jewelry without breaking the bank.

That bothers me, as well. However, an easy fix is to disinfect them yourself! Idk how safe for the metal it would be, but I think I would need to run some alcohol over them before wearing.

Brittany

Their website says they sanitize and examine all jewelry before its resent. Every single piece I’ve gotten is packaged as if it’s brand new, so I believe they do actually follow through with that promise.
