This month’s box is all about the outdoors, and the items selected are intended to inspire subscribers to venture out and explore.
Soto Sake (720 ml.) - Value $44.99
I’ll occasionally order sake when I’m out for sushi, but I really don’t know that much about it. I know, of course, that it’s made from rice, but that’s pretty much it. After doing a bit of research, it seems that sake is an extremely varied beverage. It can be cloudy or clear, crisp or creamy, and the flavor can be clean, floral, or even fruity.
This sake is made using polished rice and pure mountain water, and the flavor is mild, smooth, and clean. I really like it. The packaging is lovely, too
Sommer House The Original Granola (16 oz.) - Value $24
This granola is something special. It’s made with tart cherries, pistachios, and coconut flakes, and it’s sweet, crunchy, and a little salty.
I tried a small handful when it first arrived, and I eventually had to put it away because I kept going back for more!
Epic Venison Sea Salt Pepper Bar (43 g.) - Value $2.50
I’ve tried Epic Venison Bars before, and they’re not really my favorite. (Probably because I’m not a huge fan of venison…I have enjoyed the other Epic bars I’ve tried!)
Epic bars are paleo-friendly, gluten and sugar-free, and made using 100% grass fed and free range venison.
Braven BRV-PRO - Value $149.99 (On sale through Amazon for $104.07)
Last but certainly not least, my box contained this heavy duty outdoor speaker.
This puppy is waterproof, and the battery can last up to 30 hours.
There are a number of companion products available that can increase the battery life, add solar charging capability, and turn the speaker into a dual speaker/ lantern. (Robb Vices included a coupon code that takes 50% off accessories at the online Brazen store.)
The sound is crisp and clear, and I’d say it’s comparable in sound quality to my Bose Mini Soundlink (though the Braven has a much longer battery life).
It has a USB port that can be used to charge your cell phone, and it also has a built-in microphone and speakerphone (so you can take calls).
The ports are located on the top and are protected by a waterproof cover.
This is such a cool item, and I think it’s great for the outdoor theme!
I’m not that outdoorsy, so I doubt my speaker will ever make it out camping, but I can’t wait to use it poolside and at the beach!
Verdict: This is such a fun box, and I definitely think it will inspire subscribers to venture out into nature. (Fall is the perfect time for camping, after all!) Even though I doubt I’ll personally be trekking out into the outdoors with any of the items I received, I still love the collection of items sent out this month. Using the sale price of the speaker, the value of the items in this box comes to approximately $175. That’s over twice the cost of the box, which is fantastic!
Have you tried Robb Vices? What do you think of the luxuries sent to subscribers this month?
