Panda Pals includes extra items that are fun and educational in each package. This month’s activities were focused on making new friends. This is a great subject for back to school time! The New Friend Card is an activity to share with a new friend where each person writes about what him/herself and then information is shared. The new Panda Pal friend, Eli, even provides practice to saying “hello” in various languages. Also, we love that Sock Panda (the Panda Pal company) gives back by donating a pair of socks to kids in need with every purchase.
Cira was super excited when she opened these this month!
Both pairs of socks are adorable but we love reading greetings in different languages.
This pair has the new Panda Pal friend, Eli, the android. His little antennas have flaps! ☺
All the socks we’ve received have a button at the top which I’m assuming is to keep them out of the dreaded sock loss universe. Good thinking! Now if I could only get buttons on my husband’s socks too.
So here is a photo of a new pair (middle) and two pairs that have been washed already. The yellow pair shrunk a bit but not too much and they still feel nice. The purple and green pair are thicker than the typical socks we receive and they’ve held their shape nicely. Both washed pairs still have good color but I do wash most items in cold so that helps. We’ve owned various quality of socks and while these aren’t the best, they certainly aren’t the worst either. Plus, I’m ecstatic they are delivered to my doorstep.
Verdict: We think Panda Pals is such a fun way to learn and also get something useful! This would make a fun gift for young ones. Printed socks range in price from about $4.00 to almost $10.00 per pair depending on where you buy them. These socks are $7.50 a pair and that is not counting the value of the activities that come with them so the value isn’t bad either. Sure, you can get cheaper socks but these are fun, unique and come with activities for learning. We like Panda Pals.
