Just an FYI – the box ships late in the month and sometimes doesn’t arrive until the next month.  I don’t mind, because I usually love the contents! I received an info card describing this month’s “Elle” theme and the items included.

ELLE3 Clairefontaine Notepad – Value $5.00?

This little notepad is a little shorter than my iPhone 6s. It has a card stock outer cover and a small lip on the front that keeps the top shut. The pages are blank and perforated at the top, for easy removal. This is the perfect size to throw in my laptop bag or purse.

ELLE3 Clairefontaine Wire Bound Notebook – Value $10.00?

This wire bound notebook has lined pages and is about 8.15 inches tall, with thick covers. The wire binding seems to be high enough quality that even with regular use it will hold up well. The inside has several page separators with small pouches for papers or receipts.

Here are the insides of the notebook and the notepad.

ELLE3 Round Pencils Case – Value $10.00?

This pencil case is covered with various magazine covers from ELLE. The zipper is very sturdy and the inside is black. It goes so well with the notebooks!

Sheaffer Skrip Bottled Ink – Value $9.18

I received a dark blue hued ink. It is beautiful! I will enjoy refilling my fountain pens with this for a while. Moustache Stationery says that the ink is “…specially formulated to ensure long write out and smooth flow with your fountain and calligraphy pens.”

Verdict: Since many of the items this month are unavailable online, any guess I give is a complete estimate. I would venture to guess though, that the items did meet the cost of the box in terms of value. It did seem like there was something missing from this box, despite the fact that I loved all of the items! Maybe it just could have used a pen or some pencils to use with the pencil case. Something just felt a little lacking. I do love all of the styles of the notepads and the pencil case though – they’re totally me!

Have you tried Moustache Stationery yet?

Bekki first discovered subscription boxes in 2014 and they quickly took over her life! (Not quite, but pretty close.) She started with POPSUGAR Must Have, then moved to Little Lace Box, Birchbox, Hamptons Lane…the rest was history. Her favorite product find is Beekman 1802 Fudge (so, so good) and her favorite boxes are Birchbox and Hamptons Lane…but she’s always looking for a new subscription to try!

  1. I went to the site to subscribe, but it appears they are now charging $7 for shipping in the US. I was surprised, since you said above it was free shipping. Is there a coupon I need to be using?

  2. I agree. This is a really nice looking box with a great curation with the exception its all useless without a pen. The inclusion of a $5-10 fountain or calligraphy pen would have made the box more cohesive and brought the value closer to the price.
