MeUndies offers an underwear subscription service for men and women. Pick the style of underwear you want, and get a new pair (or pairs!) every month, featuring limited edition designs.

My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

As usual, each MeUndies package is minimally packed with just the underwear and an info card. October was the last month for all subscribers to receive the "design of the month", which this month was a ghost print for Halloween!

The info card explains a little bit more about their new subscription plan, which starts now for new subscribers. In addition to picking your style (boxer briefs, boxers, briefs, etc) each month, you'll be able to choose solid color categories for the first time, or stick with an "adventurous" plan for the folks who really love the new designs that MeUndies features each month:

  • Classic: Play it cool with neutral, solid colors
  • Bold: Make a statement with bold, solid colors
  • Adventurous: Show your spirit with fun, unique prints

When I log into my account, it looks like there is also an option called "Up for Anything" where you can get a mix of solids and prints.

MeUndies also sent an e-mail where they talked about the other changes. First, subscriptions will now ship every month on the date that you signed up (instead of shipping for everyone at the same time). They also will not be sending design previews anymore, so you can't decide whether or not to keep or skip a given month just based on the pattern. I'm a little bummed about that, since these designs are definitely not everyone's taste every month. I'm curious if I'll be able to see new designs on their site and make an educated guess, so we'll see what happens next month.

Men’s Boxer Brief in "Boo!" - $16 when you subscribe, regularly $24

Since I did get a preview for this month, I thought these would be a funny Halloween gift for my husband. One of the things I love about this subscription is that it's super easy to swap underwear styles each month, including changing it up between Men's and Women's styles.

Boo! I like that this design is grey tones so it's not too over the top, even for Halloween, which means it's something he'll actually wear.

As far as the underwear itself, these are the same 92% micromodal, 8% elastane blend that MeUndies always uses. I'm not sure if his last pairs shrunk a bit, but my husband mentioned that his previous pairs were riding up a bit, so I sized up to a Large this month. He says these fit much better, and recommends that other guys size up if they like their boxer briefs a little looser. (He normally wears a M in other brands.)

Here's a detail of the stitching and waistband. The waistbands on all of the MeUndies we've tried have been super comfortable and non-rolling. I think it's also important to note that usually sewn-in tags irritate my husband (he's made me use a seam ripper to pull them out of other pairs before), but these are done nicely with all the raw edges tucked in, so they're not irritating at all.

MeUndies can be machine washed and dried, but they do note that "For best performance, hand wash cold & lat flat to dry." He's had the pair above for over two months and they've been machine washed and dried with our regular laundry during that time. You can see that there is a little bit of pilling, but all of the stitching is still intact and I think they've worn just as well as any other pair that he owns.

Verdict: At $16/month for the Men’s styles, MeUndies are definitely pricier than my husband’s usual fare. After reading Eric's first Loot Undies review ($15 a month), it definitely reinforced to me that these are a good value if you're looking for something comfortable and stylish. Although my husband is not the biggest fan of the ghost print this month, he's excited about the new subscription options since he can now choose something a little more tame. I'll probably be keeping the more interesting patterns for myself. 😉

What do you think of MeUndies? Are you interested in the new subscription options?
