meowbox-october-2016-treats

Loving Pets It’s Purely Natural 100% Pure Dried Beef Lung (0.6 oz) – Value $3.99

This was popular with the cats who are allowed to have it (i.e., everyone but Mr. Kitty). Sneaky kept running off with pieces so she ate way more than she should’ve in my attempts to get a photo.

meowbox-october-2016-dragonfly

R2P Pet Wild Instincts Dragonfly – Value $7.99

This seemed popular with my crew. Sneaky bit it. (But you can get her to bite almost anything.)

The Empurrium Ghost Catnip Toy – Value $5.31?

This was exclusive to Meowbox and was probably the most popular item from the box with my cats. I am having trouble finding this toy online. I did find a cat website called “The Empurrium” in Australia and used the price from some of their toys for this one (converted to US dollars).

meowbox-october-2016-bat

Vermont Home Grown Catnip Bat – Value $6?

Madison loved this. Naturally, none of the photos turned out since it didn’t show up against his fur. I think this might be exclusive to the box, but there are some other toys from this company in the Meowbox Shop, so I’ve given it the value from those.

Crochet Kitty Mini Catnip Kickin’ Stick – Value $4.25

This had FEATHERS so it was a win. My cats are usually not into “kicker” style toys, but this was small enough that they enjoyed playing with it. It was also pretty well made and sturdy for a handmade catnip toy!

Kitty photos!

True to form, Monkey’s favorite part about this toy was the elastic band attached to it.

But he also liked the treats.

Madison didn’t feel like leaving the bedroom. I got some photos of him there. I am once again reminded how hard it is to photograph a black cat. Especially when his favorite toy is also black.

Sneaky with the ghost.

Sneaky with the dragonfly.

The lighting was kind of bad but I love the look on her face here.

Mr. Kitty was in the mood to sleep in the sunny window and nothing was going to stop him.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $27.54 for the October Meowbox. That’s a little better than usual for Meowbox, though still below the total month-to-month price of the box. I might like to see one more item to round out the value a little bit. You can get a better deal with our ADDICTION coupon code and/or a longer-term subscription, of course. And I think there is some value in getting a lot of toys that are exclusive or produced by small artisans (you’d pay a lot more to order from their shops). Everything was pretty popular with my cats this month, too.

So jelly of all the animal love you’re getting! Mr. Kitty never seems to mind the toys on him- gotta love that laid back nature! And those toys are SO cute. Can’t wait to get some new furbabies of my own to spoil with sub boxes (soon!)

Your Kitties are a bit spoiled. You actually have to bring the treats and toys to the bedroom. Thats pretty funny. But of course they are supposed to be spoiled by us mere humans. Mine are sitting in their treat spots before I can even get the container open. Sometimes even before I put my shoes on to leave the house. The pictures of your kitties are the best part of the pet reviews. Purrs and kisses to the furry crew.
