This month had 5 items + a bonus magazine and pin. It featured The Thing, Evil Dead, The Walking Dead, and Scream horror franchises.

Each month includes a themed pin – and this is my favorite, yet! Join me in geeking out over this Hellraiser pin with a puzzle cube backing!

As always, you’ll get an info card to detail each item.

Scream Fleece Sweater – Value $20+?

This month’s wearable item is a really cozy fleece sweater featuring Ghostface from Scream. As you can see, it’s done in the classic Munch ‘The Scream’ style.

The fleece inside is nice and cozy – and surprisingly not irritating or itchy when wearing it right out of the box. Now only if the weather was actually Fall weather…

We couldn’t not use the wolf hands in a Horror box review! It matches my beard and hair too well.

The Thing Statuette – Value $20+?

This is an exclusive statue from Chronicle Collectibles featuring the iconic scene from John Carpenter’s The Thing.

It’s got some AWESOME detail but also has that odd, visible, line on the back of it – kind of ruining its gross beauty a bit. It stands about 6″ tall.

Ash vs The Evil Dead Chainsaw Power Back – Value $10-15?

No matter how impractical this item is, it’s still fantastic.

GROOVY! It measures 8″ inches to the edge of the blade. We thought it could be on theme and practical to bring camping – and pretty practical to keep in the glove compartment.

The Walking Dead Zombie Mug – Value $10-15?

This mug is really large – it’d be perfect for some hot chocolate this fall in preparation for the new season this Halloween.

Part of the reason that it’s so large is to cover for the displaced liquid due to this lurking zombie in your mug!

There’s good detail on the outer mug as well – I’ve always loved the makeup work on the show. I’m a sucker for movie makeup – when is Face Off coming back on??

Evil Dead 2 Variant Art Print – Value $10?

I’ll never complain about having multiple Evil Dead items in a box, and this is one of the nicer prints I’ve received. They’re numbered and limited to 17,000 prints.

Delirium Magazine – BONUS

This is the first time we’ve received a bonus item in the box as well – we received a copy of Delirium that features a Loot Crate article.

It reminds me a bit of Rue Morgue – so it will be great for a horror fan!

Verdict: There was a lot of value packed into this month’s Loot Crate DX, I was really surprised! I thought they did justice to the featured franchises this month – each one had at least one great item. Overall, I thought it was a really good month for Loot Crate DX that had either great items for yourself, or easily giftable items for fellow horror fans.

If you want this box – you have until midnight EST (10/19) to subscribe and receive it as your first shipment!

  1. This was the first month I decided to get the DX box because I love horror and decided it would be worth the higher cost. I still haven’t gotten my tracking info, but I’m so excited about all of the items here! I will likely cancel after this one since other themes are hit and miss with me but I’m glad I splurged this month!

  2. I am a pretty big fan of the Delirium magazine (although I believe it’s overpriced to subscribe to), so I am looking forward to seeing this one! Looks like some great stuff, I am digging the Evil Dead items for sure.

  3. I’ll be looking for both Evil Dead items, the pin and The Thing Statuette for sure!

  4. The Scream was a Munch painting. 🙂

    • Thanks – that shows how much I know about art history.

      • Haha!! We all have our things! 😉 I do think it’s a very clever graphic!
