My box included this info card detailing the products I received this month.

I’m an avid backpacker and camper, from a standard weekend car-camp situation at a state park in the summer to a 10-day backpack during the rainy season at Denali National Park, I’m always up for some time outside. I’m really excited to review Isle Box!

Klymit Luxe Pillow and Cover - Value $39.95

First up we have the star of this box, the Klymit Luxe Pillow. This ultralight pillow is super comfortable, packs small in its own pouch, and was a breeze to inflate.

The outer cover is really soft and bonus, removable! Campers know that pillows tend to get pretty gross over time, and I’ve never used one that could be thrown into a washing machine. The air bladder took just 3-4 good sized breaths to fill up. The included pouch is great, but you’d also be able to flatten out the bladder and stuff the cover in a side pocket to save some space in your pack.

Mountainsmith Fanny Pack - Value $21.95

For a fanny pack, this thing is pretty cool. Mountainsmith has been making “lumbar packs” for over 35 years, according to their website, and you can tell they know a thing or two about it. The interior lining is brightly colored so it’s easy to find the tiny doodads you might end up throwing in there, there’s a key clip so you can easily dig those out, and it’s got reflective cord pulls for extra visibility at night. The compartments are big, you could easily store enough grub and supplies for a day hike as long as you had a hydration pack or carried your water.

Clif Energy Pouch - Value $2.37

I really enjoy Clif products, especially these little energy pouches, so I was stoked to uncover this in the box. I also love apple cinnamon anything, so, bonus! You could probably fit a dozen of these in the fanny pack and have enough snacks for you and your friends and any friends you make on the trail. They’re tasty, high-energy, low-waste snacks. Pack-in-pack-out is simple when you can just roll up the pouch and stick it in your pocket.

Archtek Toothpaste Tablets - $5.49

These are new to me! I really enjoy the process of cutting pack weight, especially when planning an extended backpacking trip, and toothpaste is always a must-have high-weight item. These individual tablets are small, light, chewable, and can be used without water. You will still brush and rinse as normal, just no tube of toothpaste to worry about! I’m looking forward to testing these out on my next trip. Plus, you get a ton so they’re going to last forever and you can share them out with that one friend who never does anything about his terrible morning breath.

Verdict: I think this box is great for outdoor-minded people looking to expand their gear selection and try out some new products. The value is good ($45 for $70 of gear) and I know I’ll get use out of everything. This would also be a great gift for anyone who loves camping!
