Gina Louise Bling Box Review + Coupon – October 2016
Gina Louise is a boho-chic fashion and accessory brand that recently began offering a monthly subscription styling service called the “Bling Box.” I love all things boho, so I was excited to have the opportunity to try them out!
Here’s a little bit about how this subscription works: Basically, you pay your styling fee and receive your box full of clothes and accessories. You have three days to decide what you would like to keep and what you want to return. They send a return envelope so you can send back anything you don’t want to keep, and the postage is pre-paid so you don’t have to pay to return things. You’re charged for what you do keep. It’s that simple!
Gina Louise kindly sent us this box to review. (Check out our review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)
The Subscription Box: Gina Louise Bling Box
The Cost: $49 styling fee, credited towards any purchase.
COUPON: Save 50% off your first box with code MSA50!
The Products: A variety of boho apparel items and accessories handpicked for you by your stylist
Ships to: U.S.
Good to know: Gina Louise offers sizes XS to 3XL. I love when they offer extended sizes! Hooray!
Also good to know: The Gina Louise Treasure Box now offers a jewelry-only subscription that costs $20 a month.
Keep Track of Your Subscriptions: Add this box to your subscription list or wishlist!
This is my invoice for the package. The retail prices are listed, but as a Bling Box member, I get a special VIP discounted price on the items sent. If I choose to keep everything in the box, I get a 20% discount on the whole thing. And of course, my styling fee is deducted from whatever I decide to keep. My styling fee is listed as $20, as you can see. Once you have been a Bling Box member for three months, your styling fee is dropped from $49 down to $20. That’s awesome! In this case, the original retail price for all the items was $304. If I keep everything in the box, my outstanding cost is only $197.60!
Printed Tunic – Price to keep $40
I really like this tunic, and I think it’s pretty flattering. Plus leggings season is upon us! I just think it’s a little summer-y, so I’m not totally decided. What do you think?
Gina Louise Criss-Cross Tee – Price to keep $30
I love the design of this tee, but as you can see, it’s pretty tight and extremely thin! You can clearly see the outline of, uh, everything, but I am actually pretty shocked to even see a complete outline of the tag on the pants I’m wearing. This shirt could have been great, but I think I have to send it back, unfortunately.
Black JB Jeggings – Price to keep $60
I actually don’t have any black jeggings, and these fit like a glove with a relatively low amount of muffin top. I think I might have to keep these.
Autumn Cardigan – Price to keep $40
This is my favorite piece in the box! I just love the colors, and I love that the sun was shining into this picture to give its blessing. Welcome to fall!
Autumn Dress by Nicole Miller – Price to keep $70
This dress is a size smaller than what I normally wear, but it fits and looks pretty good. I’m excited about that! I love the autumn colors, and since I will probably always wear it with a jacket, the short sleeves don’t bother me a bit. I think I might have to keep this one.
Knee Highs – Price to keep $5
I love the idea of knee highs, but they don’t usually look too good on my short, thick legs. These are cute, but I think I have to send them back.
My last two items were in this fun trick-or-treat bag!
Statement Necklace – Price to keep $22
This necklace is really pretty! I don’t look great in chokers, though, so I might have to send this back, too.
Winter Berry Gel Polish – Price to keep FREE GIFT!
Hooray for free gifts! Subscribers can expect to get freebies like this every so often with their subscription. It’s a pretty color for fall, I think.
Verdict: I really enjoy my Gina Louise Bling Box, and I totally look forward to it every month! The prices are also quite reasonable! This month was awesome with all the fall colors and styles. I completely love the cardigan!
