Indie Lee Squalane Facial Oil – 4 ml, Value $4.50
I love squalane! I discovered it when working at Sephora and I found Peter Thomas Roth’s Oilless Oil. This Indie Lee product is 100% olive-derived squalane, which promotes skin elasticity, diminishes age spots and hyperpigmentation, boost skin cell regeneration, as well as boost texture and tone. Squalane is a great product for any skin type because it’s extremely hydrating and very thin so it absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave an oily after feel on my skin. I really like this product (and Indie Lee’s packaging design is gorgeous in general it seems!).
Hevea Natural Rubber Bath Toy, Polly the Fish – Value $13
This bath toy fish is made out of 100% natural rubber which is biodegradable and a sustainable resource. It also doesn’t have any open holes or anything so water can’t get it and cause mold to grow.
Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream – two 0.1 fl oz foil packs, Total Value $1.95
I first discovered this cream years ago thanks to Birchbox and I think I even purchased a full-size at some point through them. Needless to say, I like this cream and it has a sort of cult-following as well, with lots of hype. It’s handmade with only 6 ingredients: olive oil, beeswax, honey, bee pollen, royal jelly, and bee propolis. This cream is smooth and hydrating and I love the way my skin feels in the morning after using this at night.
Square Hue Nail Polish in Slot Canyon – Value $10
This polish is actually one of the September 2016 polishes from Square Hue’s own subscription (check out our September Square Hue subscription box here). This shade is a rusty brown, high-gloss, crème formula.
I’ve never used Square Hue’s polishes before but I have to say now that I’m a fan! They are 7-free clean formulas and are cruelty-free, vegan, and made in the USA.
The formula also performed extremely well. I was impressed with the amount of shine it had without a top coat, and it lasted around 3 or 4 days before I even saw any major chips.
Smart Ash All Natural Tooth Whitening Powder – 1g, Value $3
This is a non-abrasive tooth whitening powder that’s good for your teeth. The only ingredients are activated coconut shell charcoal, natural calcium bentonite clay, organic orange peel extract, organic frankincense and organic mint extract.
It’s food-grade, non-GMI, vegan, cruelty-free, and safe for kids, too.
YogaForYou Online Free Month
Also included was a free month to YogaForYou, which usually costs $20 for one month, I believe. I love getting free trials of things like this from subscriptions.
Marley’s Monsters Organic Bamboo Washcloths – 2 pack, Value $5
These washcloths are handmade with organic bamboo, which is naturally hypoallergenic, antimicrobial, and more eco-friendly than cotton.
These washcloths are so thick and soft! They feel really luxe and I’ve been loving using these for my face and my son!
Verdict: I liked this September Ecocentric Mom box. I was introduced to some nice new products and got to try some things I wouldn’t have picked up on my own otherwise. The value is about $38 which I’m content with from a $25 box, though I have to say this box generally has a higher value and a few more products than this. I always find new items I love from this box, and I also appreciate being able to trust the ingredients will be green/organic/healthy with anything I discover through them!
