Cute monsters in October? I’m in!

Monster Eye Bookmarks

These two bookmarks came with googly eyes, and a note explaining that the googly eyes might fall off. (They did.)

They explained that it’s their first time making this type of bookmark, so they weren’t sure how well the eyes would stick. (You can either re-glue them or leave them off since the illustration is complete without them.)

I’m going to re-glue. The googly eyes definitely add to the charm of these monster bookmarks!

I love that these bookmarks are complete with illustrations on the back. (Plus they are just adorable.)

Reading Bat Bookmark

This is my favorite bookmark out of the bunch, this month! I love that this one hangs upside down on your page, and the little bat is reading with you!

If you aren’t familiar with magnetic bookmarks, they have thin magnets on each side of the bookmark to keep it in place:

Verdict: This subscription falls into the delightful category for me. It might not be a good fit for everyone, but I’m always happy to see these cute bookmarks in any of my book subscriptions, so a subscription full of them is just extra awesome.

Crafted Van bookmarks retail for around $4.50, so the value of this subscription is around $18. It cost me about $10.50 shipped, so I see the value there, too. (Plus these designs may be exclusive – I can’t find them in their etsy shop!)

  2. I subscribed the moment I saw the first review. It’s super cute and I love that it’s a 2 person operation. I like supporting small businesses and I love books so this is a win for me for sure! It’s very creative and I’m telling all my friends about it!

  3. The monsters are super cute!

The googly eyes were cute but I think I would prefer my bookmarks to be flat. I imagibe googly eye sgaoed indents in the pages. *shudder*
