The theme this month is Halloween! Who doesn’t love Halloween? Also, they are continuing their “treasure hunt” with a small black spider in one of the pieces of artwork. Can you find it?

Chroma.Club’s goal is to “blend the calming benefits of art therapy with the fun of creativity and innovation, by publishing design that won’t bore you, and will create a real connection between the original artworks and the colors you use to add more fun, life, or character to them.”

Chroma.Club tries to source about half of their pages from independent artists each month. Not only do I love the art in these booklets but I think it is great that Chroma.Club gives new artists exposure and payment for their contributions.

I love the Feel the Light page! We’re definitely coloring that one next.

Verdict: I wasn’t sure about Chroma.Club the first month as I thought it was kind of expensive but this subscription has definitely grown on me. They have a great variety and really cool, interesting artwork in these booklets which I enjoy much better than the full size coloring books. We found this size was a bit difficult for two people to color at the same time but the size is great for one person and the booklet is easy to take with you.

As for the value of this subscription, we think $8.00 for such a cool book with interesting artwork, is a good value. I love having the new designs each month as well as the variation in art. Everyone is different though so you have to ask yourself if the $8.00 cost is worth it to you. An adult coloring book on Amazon typically costs between $5.00 and $10.00. We own three adult coloring books and if you compare the number of pages you receive, the large book format from Amazon is a better deal. What I don’t like about the large books is that they aren’t as easy to take with you and they typically stick to one theme. We end up getting bored with the larger books. Chroma.Club has different designs and themes with an easy to carry booklet and because of this I find Chroma.Club coloring booklets are what I choose most often.

Does Chroma.Club look like something you might enjoy each month?

I sub to at least 5 other monthly Adult Coloring Boxes and this one would be more worth it if they included a couple of pens, or pencils, or markers in each mailing– doesn’t even have to be a complete set. The vast majority of Amazon coloring books don’t have just 9 pages– with this sub you are paying just under $1 per small page. Amazon does sell smaller, purse- friendly books. Chroma Club has been reviewed on here several times already- I would like to see some of the other Adult Coloring subs reviewed instead.

A new quality pencil each month would be cool. Especially if it’s an unusual color
