Bulu Box is a monthly fitness and weight loss subscription. The original Bulu Box is focused more on fitness and general health supplements, and they also offer a Weight Loss box that focuses more on diet products.
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Bulu Box seems to have stopped providing information cards listing the items in the box. Instead, you get some coupon codes. Also, there was a bit of product literature for one of the items in the box.
Flyjoy Ancient Grain Energy Bar in “Salted Cherry Blondie” (1.5 oz) – Value $1.56
Energy and protein bars are probably my favorite items to get from Bulu Box. I’ve been exposed to some new brands I never would’ve found, otherwise. I’m not sure what I think of this one, though. I split it with my husband. There was basically only one piece of cherry (kind of large) and it ended up in his half. These were super chewy and took a long time to eat. I’d be willing to give these another chance.
Ultonic All-in-One Natural Remedy Energy Gel and Immunity Enhancer (1.2 oz) – Value $2.09
This is full of superfoods, anti-inflammatory compounds, etc. This is a great time of year to send immunity-boosting products. I actually had a cold this year for the first time in ages. You can do lots of things with this but I put it in a smoothie. It added a little bit of spiciness thanks to the cinnamon and ginger and did NOT taste like garlic.
Bakery on Main Bunches of Crunches Granola in Dark Chocolate Sea Salt (1.1 oz) – Value $0.73
The packaging suggests this is supposed to appeal to children, although I don’t know many kids who eat granola regularly (though in fairness, I just don’t know many kids). This is gluten free (has grains like quinoa and amaranth and millet) and non-GMO and is high in fiber. If I ever had a need for chocolate granola, I would consider this. (Although a lot of the clumps broke into very tiny pieces during shipping.)
Manitoba Harvest Hemp Hearts (0.5 oz) – Value $0.50
These have been making the rounds since I started with subscription boxes several years ago. But, I like them as a good source of essential fatty acids, protein, and fiber. I will be putting them in my morning smoothies.
Choice Organic Teas in Chamomile Mint (1 bag) – Value $0.31
Choice Organic Teas in Dragonwell (1 bag) – Value $0.31
The chamomile mint tea isn’t available from the Bulu Box shop. It is about what you’d expect from chamomile mint tea but is a little different than Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Tea. Dragonwell (or Longjing) is a type of Chinese green tea. Chinese-style green teas are an acquired taste but I find they are excellent at appetite suppression.
IceFX Popping Crystals for Kids Vitamins (orange flavor, 0.09 oz) – Value $0.67
You will sometimes get products for children in Bulu Box. I’m probably not the best person to assess products for children as I don’t have any. Anyway, these are ssugar-free(they do contain sugar alcohols) and low in calories and have lots of vitamins and a few minerals.
Wet Platinum Premium Silicone Personal Lubricant (0.06 fl oz x 2) – Value $0.64
It is as good of a time as any to mention that sometimes with this subscription, you will receive adult-oriented items. They are never the majority of box items, but they do turn up from time to time, so just be aware of that.
Verdict: I calculated a value of about $6.81 for the October Bulu Box. I only paid $5 for the box, thanks to the previous “$5 for life” coupon codes (current offer is $5.99 a box for life with code MYSUB599), plus I can review the items for points that I can use towards items like Quest Bars or PB2 I would buy anyway, so from a value perspective, I am happy. The box seems a little random this month, but it usually does, and I would say this is a pretty representative example of a Bulu Box. (Occasionally you luck out and get full size supplements, but it is best not to expect that every month.)
What did you think of the October Bulu Box?
