Bullymake Box is a monthly subscription box for power chewers. You all have heard about (and seen) some of Nyx’s exploits with plush toys from dog subscription boxes so when I heard about this one, I had to sign up immediately. Nyx is definitely a power chewer! You pick your dog’s weight in 10-pound increments so this is a box for an 80-pound dog (Nyx weighs about 84 right now).

My Subscription Addiction paid for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The Subscription Box: Bullymake Box

The Cost: $40 a month (save with 3, 6, and 12-month subscriptions)

The Products: Toys and treats specifically tailored for heavy chewing dogs (no plushes).  You can also choose a “toys only” box.  Because of Nyx’s dietary issues, I went with the “toys only” box.  You can also enter specific allergy information in a box on the checkout screen.

Sometimes there is an information card highlighting one or two items, but this month I didn’t receive one.

Pet Qwerks Talking Babble Ball – Value $8.99

This says things when it is touched. I think it is freaking Nyx out a bit but that is OK, you never know how something will go over until you try it.

4BF Fetch Training Cross Piece (M/L) – Value $7 (?)

This brand is from Mexico if I remember correctly. I can’t find it online (search terms aren’t the best because of the generic name) so the value is an estimate. It is a little on the small side but Nyx has been OK with it, with supervision (didn’t make for good photos). I do appreciate getting hard-to-find toys; that adds value to the subscription, I think.

Sodapup Magnum (XL) – Value $21.99

Wow, this is an expensive toy. But I found it at this list price at several different online shops. This is made from natural rubber and so far, it really is quite durable. I’m not sure I would spend that much on a rubber toy but I am happy to let Nyx try it out if we receive it in a subscription box.

JW Pet Company Chompion Durable Natural Rubber Toy – Value $7.99

This is one thing from the box we haven’t had a chance to play with yet. I’ve been receiving dog subscription boxes multiple times a week lately and it is tough to get through them all. But, JW Pet Company toys have been good for Nyx in the past and there are several I’d even leave her alone with (not yet with this one until I gauge her ability to destroy it).

Nylabone Dura Chew Textured Ring – Value $7.99

These were a staple of Nyx’s younger years. I haven’t let her have one for awhile but I knew she would enjoy this so I let her play with it for a few minutes last night. Dogs chew on these and ridges rise up in the nylon material. These ridges are supposed to help clean teeth and to be non-toxic if the dog swallows them. With this particular toy, the ridges do get somewhat sharp, so watch your fingers if your dog has been at it for awhile!

Here are a few shots of Nyx enjoying the Durachew ring.

Verdict: I calculated a value of about $54 for the September 2016 Bullymake Box. That’s more than $10 over the cost of the subscription and one of the better values I’ve seen from this box. Four of the toys were new to us and the one that wasn’t, happens to be a longtime favorite of Nyx’s.  So this was a great month for us from Bullymake Box!
